Did Liara say "Thanks for coming by" or "Shepard! I'm glad you're here" when you visited her after the cabin-reuinion scene?? If she said the first one, then I guess the romance is still active.
I didn't check..I guess I could do that real quick.
Just checked...she says, "Shepard, I'm glad you're here." so I guess the romance is no longer active. Shepard got dumped.

@TMA do you think there will be a consequences for every dialogue choices? not necessarily bad but something, i heard lotsb is going to effect me3 somehow. Other than Liara being the shadow broker.
If you give Liara hope at the end of the day (or both of them hope), then it means the relationship going to build in a healthy and hopeful way. However, if you don't give Liara hope and she walks off, or you chose not to bring up the relationship, then you're in ME2 territory as if LOTSB never happened (except you'll be mentioned for your involvement).

Oh there's a new line? (goes back). Hmm, it seems it's something said if you take the friendship path. She says that to friend Shepard.

If you pick "okay, no hard feelings" at the base of the shadow broker, isn't the relationship on a break?

Yeah, that's a breakup. Or if you hit "Let's just be friends". Though Liara hints that you could probably get back together with her in ME3, if you want.

That's what she says after going full Renegade in the cabin scene.

I can't remember which of the "friendship" options it was, but one of them sounded less like "Let's be friends" and more like "Let's take it slow".

Hmm, like I said, you're on a break, and she's mad. Or at least that's what I think. I don't think that's the end of the relationship. You're just back to ME2 without LOTSB, relationship wise.

It's the "Let's just be friends then" option.

When Liara says, 'I don't want to put pressure on you,' I always respond, 'I've got fond memories of the last time you put pressure on me.' Obviously, there were two other options - I think they were 'let's just be friends' and/or 'no hard feelings'.
Because I'm too much of a coward to even try those options, is there anyone who has chosen those options? I'm just curious to know what happens...

Just make a new save before talking to liara and then re load to hear every dialogue thats what i do.
I like to see if there could be possibly a difference in scenes, nerdy as it sounds xD
or just watch em on youtube, wouldn't you rather watch it than read upon it?

Ha, well, I have several saves already, but I'm, again, too afraid to do it. So I'm just curious to know if anyone has already done it and can just give me the rundown, hahaha.
2 - Let's be friends ... for now. (essentially) - Presumably keeps things open for ME3. (Liara is mildly disappointed.)
3 - Let's keep it professional. - Not a total lockdown on the relationship as Liara still wants to talk on ths ship. (Liara is visibly disappointed and a little shocked) *
* If you select the third option and then decline her invitation she is visibly heartbroken and walks away. It's an interesting scene, and implies a disdain not brought up in the rest of the DLC. You pretty much have to skip over all the interrupts, choose to renegade Liara at nearly every turn and then pretend the flying car audio didn't really exist to make this scene make any sense.

I do hope that Liara will be available to new players in ME3. I'd like to create a Shepard for that very purpose, and take her through the entire trilogy in order to have her finally reciprocate Liara's love.

@TMA yeah i mean metaphorically, why would you say that to someone unless you have no faith in yourself or the relationship, they shouldn't get another dialogue choice if they pick death most likely, instead they should just end it there, no other dialogue and you never see liara again...imo
I don't agree. I tell her I think are chances are slim, but it's not tomorrow yet. It's being honest. And then Liara tells you, wants more then that, and wants you to promise to always come back. It's a good build. I actually prefer it for my femshep, who's a Sole Survivor, and Colonist. She's simply being honest, but promised to come back, despite her beliefs. That Liara is forcing her to have hope. I'd hate it if they removed the option to roleplay my Shepard that way.
The problem, for me, is that you already had the option of telling her you're not ready to resume the relationship back on Shadow Broker's ship, right before you invite her to your cabin.
Changing your mind a few minutes later is like going through the Omega 4 Relay only to have Shepard suddenly say "Ops! I changed my mind. Take us back!".
Imo, all the dialogue option in that cabin scene should only serve to help you determine what kind of relationship you want with Liara, not provide you with a chance to get cold feet and bail out.
At least, that's how I see it.

I'm glad someone else finally said this.
Whoops. Misread a part of JamieCOTC's post. Please ignore edit!

I think it's okay if you just pick the 'death' option but then tell her to enjoy the one night. You aren't necessarily telling her you don't want the relationship to resume but just being honest about your chances of survival.
Going full Renegade is odd, though. I just replayed it real quick and Shepard goes from being happy around Liara and flirty to super cynical and emo....maybe it's the wine talking. It's just feels out of place with what she did and said to Liara on the SB base.

There is cut dialogue that has Shep essentially saying, "I can't make that promise." Why BW cut that out, I have no idea. It's like BW made a Liara roamcne/friend DLC and then said, "Oops, we forgot about the Liara haters! We have to have something for them too." As much as I love LotSB it is a bit too scripted.
I really like that better. Yeah, too bad it was cut.
