I think it would largely depend on the circumstances of her death. But something along the lines of "tear the universe asunder to bring her back" sounds about right.

I'm also assuming this happens post-Reapers so Shepard doesn't have to worry about saving the galaxy or anything.

If Liara could die in me2 my shep would either:
1) find the bastard who killed her and then never have another relationship.
2) kill self or just stay isolated from everyone else ( I do not like this choice but i believe it is one of the most possible.) this would probably be the end to earth as well if shep stayed away from anyone
3) move on, stay strong, save the universe, than retire from all of the pain, stay in touch with everyone

If Liara dies, Shepard would save the universe, go to any hell anywhere to find her killer and make him/her pay and then use Project Lazarus to get her back. After saving the universe think TIM owes us that much.

I admit I also said my own Shepard would do that, but that's only if he's the only survivor.

I said I would not want my shep to kill himself but he probably would imo
just like if you did everything wrong on the suicide mission, you're toasted no matter what.
She could die in the very end of mass effect 3. Would if she was pregnant when she dies, my shep would do something very rational i don't know what he would do though. This is just instincts on what could happen in me3 most likely she will be able to have a kid, it is very possible. Can't say the same for Ashley or your very own femshep with Kaiden seeing how you can't rekindle the relationship with those two in me2.

I really don't think Liara is going to die in ME3....at least it won't be mandatory.
To be honest, if it did happen and was mandatory, I'd stop playing the game and wouldn't care what my Shepard did or didn't do afterwards.

I would do the same. Wouldn't even keep playing to find out how the story ends if Liara dies...I'd probably visit the Mass Effect wikia page on Liara, see if there's any info on preventing her death, and if so, restart the entire game (or if I happen to have an earlier save, use that one).

Right, I'm now taking it upon myself to change the topic of conversation from something so depressing!
So, if ME3 will incorporate some form of bondmate ceremony for the Shepard/Liara love story, how do you think it will be depicted? Will Shepard propose to Liara when the player selects an appropriate dialogue choice? Is it not possible that this bondmate ceremony would replace the usual love scene prior to the climatic final battle, with Shepard and Liara exchanging vows and bracelets on the eve of the final confrontation?
If, as has been speculated, something like this were to be featured in ME3, I'd be overjoyed. IMO, it would function as the perfect ending to a beautiful love story, and allow Shepard and Liara to showcase just how devoted and in love with each other they are. I can't wait to see how the romance will progress and develop in ME3!

I would prefer something like this to an actual sex scene type thing...that was done already in ME1 and, while it was awesome, I don't really want to see another rehash of it again at the end of ME3.
I would rather have something unique in the relationship shown...exchanging vows on the eve of the final battle would do, or even just a proposal or some kind of promise that Shepard and Liara plan on spending the remainder of Shepard's life together.

Didn't a CDN say that the Asari is the one that propose to their bondmate?
I would only like it if it's in the epilogue. I just don't want to do it before the climatic battle, If Shepard or Liara perish it would only lead to even greater sorrow.

Oh yeah, I do remember that specific CDN story. However, I also recall the fact that it did not specify if the asari was proposing to another asari, which would void the story's status as evidence of the asari traditionally being the partner to propose.
Having said that, I think it would be incredibly touching, and absolutely beautiful if Liara were to propose to Shepard. I'd probably squee to an even greater extent than if "Marry Me" were to appear on the dialogue wheel!

Yeah, I think hearing Hillis deliver that proposal would be epic. I think Liara would be a bit nervous too and it would be freakin adorable.
It's also expected of Shepard to propose by most fans and I like the idea of flipping that around and having Liara do it.

Kate and Liara would own two stately homes, one on Earth and one on Thessia. Although Liara would still be working as the Shadow Broker on a part-time basis, she'd also be free to enjoy her life with her bondmate in relative peace. They're both happy in each other's arms.
That's how I've imagined it, anyway.

Better yet, imagine if Shepard attempted to propose to Liara, and nervously stumbled on her words as she struggles to speak coherently. Liara, realising what Shepard is attempting to do, reassures her by kissing her passionately, and accepts Shepard's offer of marriage with a warm, broad grin etched out on her beautiful facial features.
Now that would be adorable.
