So what kind of future would you like to see for Shepard and Liara, provided they both survive, in ME3?

My Shepard would marry Liara, retire from active duty and probably become the new human councilor after Anderson retires. That way she and Liara could settle own on the Citadel and start a family.

Kate and Liara would obviously become bondmates, and I like to imagine that Liara would install a few computer systems on the Shadow Broker Base that grants her remote control over the network. Furthermore, Liara would also upgrade the VI Drone, and would leave most of the day-to-day work to the computer systems that she has installed. This would allow her to work as the Shadow Broker part-time, and enjoy her life as Shepard's bondmate and lover, and the mother of their two children. Kate and Liara would own two stately homes, one on Earth and one on Thessia. The pair of them would alternate between living on each homeworld, in order to expose their children to the culture of both parents' species. Although Liara would still be working as the Shadow Broker on a part-time basis, she'd also be free to enjoy her life with her bondmate in relative peace. They're both happy in each other's arms.

That's how I've imagined it, anyway. :)

No offence but having children switch between homes sounds like a bad idea.

I wounder if the dialogue would be indifferent if you were male while proposing to liara, would he fumble and stutter a lot as well? or would he be a sly devil at it? lol sorry i do not know what to say if you stayed your cool with liara.

Better yet, imagine if Shepard attempted to propose to Liara, and nervously stumbled on her words as she struggles to speak coherently. Liara, realising what Shepard is attempting to do, reassures her by kissing her passionately, and accepts Shepard's offer of marriage with a warm, broad grin etched out on her beautiful facial features.

Now that would be adorable. :wizard:

Haha!!

I'd love to see that scene. :D

Do we actually have any information on what the Asari bonding looks like? Is there a formal ceremony like in a human wedding? Do they exchange something some simbols of devotion like rings?

None taken.

I should clarify that any change of location would not be a regular occurrence, and that the family would spend an extended period of time in one place before moving once again. Additionally, they'd also visit friends and family regularly, and would not be stuck on either Earth or Thessia whilst living there. The family could enjoy a break on Earth for a few days, before returning home to Thessia. I don't think this would compromise the children's social lives.

Samara's LotSB dossier mentions something about a bondmate bracelet and that's all we know about it.

The only information regarding the asari bondmate ceremony that we've received thus far has been from Samara's Shadow Broker dossier. It details that Samara was forced to relinquish her possessions when she became a Justicar, among them a bond ceremony gown and a bond ceremony bracelet.

I think we can assume that these are incorporated into a formal bondmate ceremony. It sounds beautiful!

That they would become bondmates isn't even in question, it's simply a starting point.  In my mind, though, despite wanting to share their lives together, I can't imagine either of them giving up their positions.  Alice would want to continue working to make the galaxy a better place, and despite the stabs of lonliness that she'd feel, Liara would want not only to help, but to be a force of change in the galaxy herself, and the best way she could do that would be at the helm of the Shadow Broker's information networks.

I definitely foresee children, at the very least one (Alissondra, from my "Business" story).  I also occasionally fancy the idea that Alice runs across some spunky human runaway boy and they adopt him.  The idea of an asari being an older sibling to a human tickles me for some reason.

I've never seen that either. It's better than most of the other art seen in that comic.

Where is that from?

Definitely hotter than this, which is what first came to mind when I saw it. Similar reasons. Liara has the awesome power of the Shadow Broker and Petey is the main personality in the Fleetmind.

(Though Petey is adorable in that fuzzy koala sort of way.)

I'm pretty sure there was a story ... something about the Powerpuff Girls finding a portal into the ME 'verse to rescue Commander Shepard's corpse?  It's all hazy to me ... but that's how I remember it.

Oh, come on. The plot wasn't horrible. It was the ridiculous artwork--caricatures, really--that killed the mood.

No. The plot was horrible. A good chunk of each issue was dedicated to mind-numbing action, instead of focusing on something else (Like the characters). Liara wasn't Liara, she was some sort of cliché angsty and angry action-chick.

The only good part was TIM. And that's because TIM has the magic power of raising the quality of whatever story he is in (case in point: ME2 main-plot).

The plot wasn't horrible, you can read the plot points and think it was a good story.  The storytelling was what ruined it.  And the art.  And the dialogue.  And the characterization.  And the art (again).

My main problem is that the comic's plot didn't add anything that we already didn't know from playing ME2 and speaking with Liara.

The comic did set-up something that had a possibility of being important. Namely the data Liara has on the SB in the end of the comic.

The comic failed as j says, because it just wasn't needed, you get everything you need to know from Liara in ME2 (especially if you trigger LotSB without doing her hacking/Observer quests). The poor characterisations, art, and script are just something you get with DH comics it seems.

That's a fair distinction. I agree.

I still have to pick up Evolution #1. I'm not expecting much.

Yeah, whatever happened to that?  I assumed she used it to help her get set up as an info broker and hunt the SB?  Maybe?

Never mentioned again.

Wether this is a failure on LOTSB or Redemption's side is up for you to decide.

This is the backstory that I want to see.  How the hell did she manage to do that in only two years?

I mean, she's Liara, and it seems like she can do anything, but still...

I actually wanted to attempt to write about that after finishing up my Shep/Liara ME1 fic.   It seems very difficult given we know practically nothing about it.

I'll blame Redemption, of course.
