Haahaa, the only supplemental materials I will read are fanfiction.

You also have a point that we don't know a whole hell of a lot about any character....it would be nice to learn more about all of them, but it won't happen in ME3.

Yeah...  I bought Redemption in a moment of weakness.  I almost picked up Issue #2 of Evolution this weekend, but read halfway through it and remembered that I didn't really give a **** about TIM.  Fan-fiction seems to be the way to go.  Not only do you get people who are passionate about the characters writing it, but if you don't like it, you can simply ignore it.

"Ah, yes.  'FemShep/Wrex'  ...  We have dismissed that slashfic!"

*edit* God, what a terrible totp.

So true...so true.   :D

Really, I treat some fan fiction (no FemShep/Wrex, sorry!) plus my own head canon as the real Mass Effect and tend to ignore canon things BW has done.

Nice pics, btw.

It's okay to have Redemption, as there are some good things in it (the cover of the first issue is lovely, for one).

I just accept everything canon, because I want everything to be as close to "what happened" as possible. Same with Morrigan, despite hating Witch Hunt, and feeling like I can't say what I want my character to say.

At this point, I only play the game 'cause I like hearing the voices, as it gives me a better feel for the characters. The events and the actual dialogue I treat more as musical notes on a piece of sheet music. Like, it may be what's written on the page, but it's not the song that I hear, since there's so much more that doesn't/can't get said or done in the game.

A while ago, someone asked if Liara was similar to Leliana or Morrigan. After playing both romances, my opinion is that Leliana is very similar to Liara from ME1. She's cute, open minded, contains lots of knowledge, and is very paragon. However, Morrigan has the "it hurts you and loves you" romance. You don't just go through the love of a romance, but also the pain and anger. Which is what you get in ME2 and Shadow Broker.

Good way to put it...that's how I see it too.

I find neither of these two even close to relating with liara.  Pain and anger? when was this in lotsb?
I guess i don't see the similarities between Leliana and liara is because i hate that red hed with all my heart so i never talk to her. I even told her to leave my squad, best thing i've ever done in DAO
Morrigan approves +5

So you felt nothing for 7 month when she wouldn't talk to you at all? You didn't feel like you were forced away from Liara for most of ME2? And it wasn't till her DLC that you were able to really be with her again? You weren't angry at Liara's treatment? Or how she wasn't willing to talk? Or how she just had you hack terminals, but nothing on the romance? If that ain't pain, or if you weren't argry... Well, I felt all that.

Are you a PS3 player?

I was lucky that I got into the Mass Effect series very recently, after LoTSB came out.

But yeah. That first meeting on Illium sucked. I like the Liaramance, however, I'm not going to lose sleep if I can't have 'her'.

However, the abrupt change in characterization without any kind of rationale was a bit off-putting, to say the least.

When she started threatening people and then murdering her assistant (!!!) I was thinking what the HELL happened to my asari scientist from ME1 ?!?

Yeah. Anyways, I wouldn't say I lost sleep over it, but if things are left hanging on a bad note, and it continued like that for months or days, you kind of feel like you got cliff hangered.

Yes...the rationale was there, it was just poorly presented.

As far as losing sleep, I never doubted that the game would allow you to rekindle the romance with Liara.   However, if they did decide to kill the romance for the betterment of Liara's character I wouldn't mind as long as they continued to handle her character well.  I care first and foremost about Liara's character, then the romance is second.

Perhaps my Shepard would have lost sleep...

Anyways, I'm not saying Liara and Leli are the same character. They're very different. One is a spy/religious girl, and the other is a bookish/archaeologist. One is more shy, while the other isn't. One is french, and the other is a blue alien. But if I had to choose, Liara and Leli are the most similar. However, Morrigan is the only one you'll feel like you had a complete good and bad package when it comes to a romance. You had good moments, and you had bad moments. Which is something Liara has, but Leliana doesn't.

Looks good. I'd say my only complain is that the neck looks a bit too long, But that's it.

Beautiful work!  I think you captured the essence of her personality in that expression.

I'm no artist, so I'd feel weird offering anything in the way of constructive criticism.

TMA you're talking to a man who just bought mass effect 1 and 2 in january, no i'm an xbox user, to say the truth, i played me2 before me1 so all i got from liara was "dayum who's that smoking lady?" no affection or compassion at all. It did ****** me off every time i asked her to join my squad she would reject me. But once i played mass effect 1 and got to actually know who liara was, i've grown attatch to her so much that you can't even imagine this feeling i've grown to give liara, and this is just in a few weeks of playing. I must say that it was miserable without talking to her when i made my perfect shepard, all i get was a kiss than off i go to recruit samara or thane, woopdedoo. It made me want to shoot myself or someone. I wanted to ask of the romance we had, the chemistry shep and liara were giving off, and yet we the players get hacking terminals, +5 renegade?! what the hell.
To answer short, you bet your ass i felt something, just not in the very beginning, because i played mass effect 2 first.
Lotsb was the best time i've ever had playing mass effect 2, but i looked on the brighter side, she was with me again. I may have only been playing for 2 months, but when i didn't have lotsb it felt like an enternity. =]
