Let's just say that LotSB wasn't "bridging content", meaning that the events of it played out whether you bought and played through the DLC or not. Say you DID buy it and play it through to its natural conclusion. Why in the hell would Liara, now the most important information broker in the entire galaxy, put her existence at risk fighting alongside Shepard again? Considering the dire situation the galaxy will be in, with the Reapers descending upon it in all-out warfare, her position as Shadow Broker would be invaluable as she'd be able to maintain open lines of communication throughout the galactic battlefield. Yet, we're being led to believe she'd walk away from that out of loyalty to Shepard? Nope, sorry...makes no sense AT ALL.

Got nothing but love for Liara, but having her be a squadmate for ME3 doesn't make a lick of sense to me.

I believe BioWare have confirmed that they're considering LotSB as happening, whether you played the DLC or not. They've not said when Liara will be coming into the game as your squadmate. It's quite possible she'll join you later on, when it's clear her services as the Shadow Broker aren't going to help you as much (I imagine information will only be a plus up to a certain point in the game, after which you'll need fighters, not brokers). Either way, she wasn't made the Shadow Broker by BioWare for nothing, so I see that playing an important part somehow.

True enough, I rather doubt Liara would be a squadmember from minute 1 but it does open up some possibilities. Considering we can't beat the reapers just by force, we might be able to pick liara up at the shadow broker base for a mission to uncover some usefull prothean technology to help beat the reapers (liara said the old shadow broker thought there was more usefull prothean technology out there). After the mission she would then be unable or unwilling to go back to the base and would get a spot on the normandy (Captain's cabin please - It's big enough for Shepard + Liara).
Edit: Seeing as not everyone tends to be in romance with Liara (their loss eh?) I suppose for Liara to leave the shadow broker base and join shepard, something bad will have to happen to the shadow broker base, otherwise Liara would probably just go back instead of joining Shepard.

Yep, exactly.
Just on your last point, however... I've been thinking about the events spanning the Mass Effects (comic included) and, even though you don't have to romance her, I'm fairly sure she has feelings for Shepard anyway. She pretty much confesses to an attraction, whether you're interested in pursuing it or not. Of course, she doesn't force anything on you, but she can't just turn her feelings off either. My interpretations of Redemption leads me to believe her motivation there (aside from wanting to help a friend) was her romantic feelings for Shepard.
Of course, it can be argued that she's had the time to get over that in that two year interim, so it probably won't effect her motivation too much regarding her decision to join the team or stay at the SB base. Still, food for thought...

And to be honest, Liara can multi-task, just ask Shepard.

And really, did you really think she would sit behind a desk while Shepard flies straight into the fire? No, she's going to be right beside him/her, she's going to make sure Shepard keeps the promise to always come back to her. That's what kind of person she is.

In all seriousness, Liara's duties as the Shadow Broker aren't something that only she can take care of. Feron and the Assistant could probably take care of it for her.

She didn't seem to care about her going on a "Suicide" mission.
Really pleased she is squadmate in ME3 by the way!

I don't know about confirmed, but it would be odd for them to disregard LotSB completely, given it's potential import to the main story. They will include a 'previously on ME' comic for ME3, so this is where the details of LotSB could be filled in for those that didn't play it.

Indeed....it would be odd if they treated her as if she were like Garrus or Ashley/Kaidan in that she's just another squaddie to join up with you, give that it seems she was placed into the SB role for a reason.
Also, Cerberus and TIM are finally out of the picture it seems, so Shepard needs some intel and monetary support for her war effort....Liara is probably going to fill that role.

The Reapers destroy the Broker's base, forcing Liara to jump ship and join Shepard in-person.
Regardless, I am happy. I was a big Liara fan way back during ME1 (and my love for Liara was eventually eclipsed by Tali in ME2), so it would be nice to see her return as a pro forma squadmate in ME3.
Though, no mention of Tali as a squadmate, however. Odd, and disconcerting.

Not necessarily. Feron could always watch over the base.

Really? That guy, who underwent severe physical and psychological torture, could watch over the most important information network in the galaxy? I strong doubt that Liara, even as much as she cares about him, would allow him to undertake such an endeavor, given his current state.

But I'm worried about Cerberus. Maybe TIM wanted to get rid of the Shadow Broker and was surprised that Liara took the job.

That's the line of thinking that i'm having. Someone raised the point that her role as the Shadow Broker would be key in the war effort against the Reapers, keeping lines of communication open and providing intel and such. The Shadow Broker ship might as well have a big target painted on it. It's in an isolated location, but defenseless from any form of attack. Hell, Shepard managed to land right on the thing in a shuttle, imagine what the Reapers could do.

I'm assuming time will help heal some wounds. Plus, it's not as if he still won't be in touch with Liara and can get some guidance from her.
He's probably the best candidate to be the backup SB...I can't think of anyone else. He knows the business and the ship's operation.

The ship is powered by the ever-present storms on the planet. So i'm afraid not. Beside it does not look like it was made for combat.

If she drove the ship out of the storm, then it would be exposed and millions of people would attempt to kill her.

I doubt the Shadow Broker would have left his safe haven without options of leaving the atmosphere of that planet. He had every eventuality planned. Apart from his death, apparently.
Liara may not know about this tough, she has only just become the Shadow Broker.

Just as she didn't really know how the ship worked before they boarded it, it was all speculation. So it might be possible that it is space-worthy and defensible.

I wonder if they'll change her outfit again?
Maybe? I liked her LOTSB well enough, but I could imagine them giving her a new outfit.
They should atleast give her a proper breather helmet.
