Are you referring to the promo image? If so, it might just be a case of BioWare reusing old promo imagery. I'm going to wait for in-game shots. >.>

He's insinuating a... swift removal from ME3 for Liara... Which would be silly, given the plot armor she had in the rest of the series.

On another note, almost done with the first draft of Chapter 5! Hoping to wrap it up tomorrow and dive right in to Chapter 6! (Revisions can come later >.>)

in every Mass effect game some one as the role to make our realise the sytuation is dired, in mass effect 1 it was the guy nobody remimber the name of (Jenkins) and Nylus. In mass effect 2 it was Presly and the Doc wich name i just cant remimber.

As they are showing us those character relatively quickly in game preview am just scared that they may use them as sacrifacable character

They didn't give Liara epic plot armor (better than Shepard) AND her own DLC just to snuff her out in the first 20 minutes.

About 7 pages back, I had some writing questions. I just wanted to thank ScorpSt and centauri2002 for their feedback. I think that I'm just getting too concerned about writing this thing. A lot of the narrative is just me trying to get something down on paper. I'm going through and defining what the story will talk about.

Most of the stuff I'm writing won't make it through the first edit, let alone the final. I think that I'm just worried when I go through and think 'geez, this is really boring', even though it's mainly just placeholder until I can replace it with dialogue.

Don't forget 'Snapping ME3 dvd in half' should that happen. As stated before though, Liara has enjoyed a great deal of plot armor, is a very popular character and has her own DLC. BioWare would not simply get her killed early in the game. (I hope)

Hmm since Liara will probably ALWAYS be in my ME3 squad, and Garrus, Kaidan/Ashley will be making a return, I can't wait for some 'good old days' type of banter between the 2 of them.

I am glad liara is back though in truth there wasn't any doubt she wouldn't be. I doubt she will be killed off like jenkins due to her being a possoble LI and the fact that I doubt they made all this trouble to make her the shadow broker to kill her off within the first hour of gameplay. I think that liara will play a role simillar to that of Oracle from the Batman series giving you information during the game and then potantialy becoming companion at the last 1/2 or 1/3 of the game. It would like it to be a choice whether you let her join you or remain SB.

I'd say it's about a certainty Liara won't get any sort of "Jenkins-treatment", she is a far developed character that the devs wanted to keep alive. Liara will play a considerable role in ME3, I reckon.

There's no chance of Liara being killed off at the beginning of the game.. They've spent too long building up her character, building up her role as SB, and cementing her as a very important person in Shepard's life to merely use her as a weak situational awareness check. If she survives through to the end credits of ME3 is another matter entirely...

@Marshal: Glad to hear your writing is coming along nicely! Do you post up your chapters as soon as you're done with them?

@Emmanuel: You're welcome. ^^ I make the mistake of over thinking my writing sometimes too and it tends to be somewhat detrimental to the creative process. It's not something I can really help but, if you can, just plunge into writing and be damned with the consequences! The best writing happens, sometimes, when you just type away without thought of where the story might be heading. Let it write itself, in essence. :3

Usage of common sense would dictate that is not the case. Bioware don't kill of popular (and established) characters in the start of the game, especially sense she's a LI, and possibly our quest-giver.

The tutorial redshirt will be some unknown character that won't be featured in marketing.

Sanders will not the the tutorial red-shirt. Bioware are not gonna waste their world-first information on ME3 to hype up a new squadmate, only for him to get killed in the start.
