This thread... it requires more blue...

I'm all for variation in accents. As long as the accents aren't terribly fake sounding. I like the sniper's voice. :3

Great pic, that's from the redemption comic right?

I suppose you could argue there are already Canadian and American accents but still I'd like some variety. I got the impression you didn't like the sniper, from the whole they could kill him, we wouldn't expect it statement :P

Ahaha, of course I like him. He's English. ;)

Seriously though, I haven't really had a chance to grow attached to him yet. Perhaps once the game starts... but I don't wish any harm on him either. I was merely saying that as a way for BioWare to throw us off. We don't want them being predictable, do we? :P

Yes, it's cover art for Redemption. :3

I'm jumping to that conclusion from the name on the squad member list. James Sanders... it just screams Anglo Saxon.

I can't remember where I saw it but it was written quite clearly that James Sanders is NOT the big ben sniper featured in the trailer. Ahh well what do I care, with Liara on the squad there's always only 1 spot left to put someone else in, better to give us only a few squad members to pick from. Makes it easier to choose :P

I wouldn't worry too much about BioWare's ability to find suitable voice actors. I really liked the different accents they used in DA2 as well. If that was any indication we're going to see some great voice acting in ME3.

Since we are going fight Cerberus in ME3. Would it be a nice little touch that when we face them in battle, and Liara is is in the squad, that we can hear them acknowlegde her presence and go all "Shadow Broker spotted. Elimination of shadow broker is now second priority!" ??

There's no chance of Liara being killed off at the beginning of the game.. They've spent too long building up her character, building up her role as SB, and cementing her as a very important person in Shepard's life to merely use her as a weak situational awareness check. If she survives through to the end credits of ME3 is another matter entirely...

That and Jenkins and Pressly were extremely unimportant characters. :P

It's a mix between Sam Worthington and Sean Bean apparently. :P

I woulde LOVE that! It's amazing the difference those little touches make to the game world. Having Shep directly tell the squad members actions would be great aswell.

That would be cool, but I doubt they really care, with the reapers invading and all. If everyone is dead, the Shadow Broker has no contacts or business partners. ;P

The Reapers being there does not seem to matter since Cerberus wants him dead for unknown reason.

If they want to kill Shepard because he is a threat to them (I hope this is not the case, but that is for another thread), then it makes sense for them to also try to kill Liara.

If they want to kill Shepard because they do not wish the Reapers getting their hands on him, then you are right regarding them not possibly caring about Liara.

Indeed. Reminds me of Half-life 2 episode 2 where the Combine gives Gordon Freeman (the player) and Alyx Vance (female sidekick) codenames.

Would be a nice little touch if Cerberus gave codenames to all your squadmates when talking about them in combat.

If the sniper doesn't turn out to be Sanders, I'm sure he'll appear in some way in the game. Seems a waste to set up a character, voice included, and not use him at all. Plus, he appears quite popular among some of the lady FemShep players. :P

To have Cerberus react to Liara's new status as the Shadow Broker would, indeed, be a small yet wonderful thing. The same goes for the other squad members. I would think the Cerberus operatives would be briefed on all the threats they are to come across in their hunt for Shepard. To have a little comment over radio chatter to "watch out for the thief's stealth abilities" or to mention Miranda by name (since some will likely have met her) would be a nice touch.

TIM's motivations are somewhat mysterious. It makes zero sense for those who chose to stay with Cerberus too. I wonder how BioWare are going to explain that. >.>

Yeah. If he's simply out to kill Shepard out of revenge, then it is indeed a pretty contrived situation. Even more than the situation regarding the missing colonies and the Alliance/Council not doing anything.

Indeed. I really hope they go for something a lot more deep and twisted. I'll have a think about it but I'm not sure I can come up with anything believable. Is TIM even human, I wonder?

Well. The evolution comic (as bad as it is) shows that he was affected by Reaper technology and that is why he's got those blue eyes (as far as I know). And when consider the fact that Shepard got the same eyes only in red (Reapers like both red and blue), it makes you wonder... Are both Shepard and TIM even human anymore?

Ooh a philosophical question, Lizard. :P

I haven't read Evolution although I think I may have it, I just haven't gotten around to looking through it yet. What kind of technology was it TIM was exposed to? I'm wondering if that has had any repercussions for him. I'm sure it has. I'm just wondering what his ultimate motivation might be.

I have not read the comic myself. But it was some sort of Reaper-artifact, it gave him a vision. And if I remember correctly, it also put him in perfect physical conditions (not sure on this one). With an added benefit of being able to speak and understand alien languages (He speaks asari in the comic) without the use of translator.

That's very interesting. I'm curious now, I'll have to go read it. :P

So that explains why TIM smokes so much, he's just rubbing his perfect health in everyone's faces as he knows it won't hurt him. >.> Possibly not...

I actually thought of that being one of the reason he smokes so much! ^_^

Ah-ha! We think alike then! We'll just slip that into canon then. Two people make a consensus, right?

Anyone wonder if Cerberus is trying to capture Shepard and use her as a bargaining chip to the reapers? Maybe in return the reapers will leave the rest of humanity alive?
