@Anima: That would be excellent for a vid from Shepard's perspective. Shall have to keep that in mind for when I pester Jiggy to make another one. ;)

I'll get to it when I get my new 1080p capture equipment. :D

@Centauri - Regarding melancholy music. The first things that came to mind were various Bach organ pieces, or songs by Wilco. However, I think either of those options would be hilariously out of place, _especially_ Wilco.

It finally came to me as I was driving home today.

Sigur Ros - Untitled 1

Nope, Emmanuel. I was trying to find a melancholic song with fitting vocals but it's difficult. And Jiggy is being a pain about it. *hides* So, throw any suggestions out there. :)

*Sad Face* To be honest soundtracks are the best for vids like what we are planning. :P

I have no idea why I'm suggesting this but

If you're going for a soundtrack, what kind of mood are you trying to evoke?

That's... perfect. So sad... it really tugs on the heartstrings.

I'll need to try and find some good quality versions of their music. Thanks for sharing. :)

Edited to say: Anyone else think Moonlight Sonata playing in the background of Shepard's death scene would work very well? >.>

They have an officially released, free, live version of that song on their site.

http://soundcloud.co...live-1/download

It's got some applause and general 'crowd noise', but only at the beginning.

Another option for Shepard's death scene is Albinoni's Adagio in G Minor.

So what do you think of Liara being a companion in ME3? How do you think she'll act based on whether you did SB or not?

Liara will behave under the assumption you completed LotSB. She is the Shadow Broker, whether you bought the DLC or not. >.>
Although, I've just thought of another way Shepard did the SB.

 IMPORTANT:

Alright guys, I know I haven't been around in a while (moving, work, ugh), but! BUT.

I'm currently reading the new Game Informer and they just did a huge spread (12 pages, friends, 12!) on Mass Effect 3.

Who's on the front page of the article, standing with Shepard?

LIARA.

Who has been confirmed as a playable character for at least part of the game? As in - a squad mate for at least part, if not all, of the game??!?

LIARA.

REJOIIIIICE!

She'll act the same pretty much.  I think the completion of LotSB will be canon in ME3 even if you didn't play the DLC.

There might be some differences with romance parts, as Shepards that completed the DLC made up with her and Shepards that didn't will probably get the chance to do so in ME3.

Yeah, they're doing a "previously on ME" prologue which plays for everyone, that's suppose to catch everyone up on all the events you did. I'm guessing they're going to use it to get everyone caught up on LOTSB and Arrival, despite not doing them. I originally thought that LOTSB would simply happen despite Shepard not doing the DLC, but then Arrival kind of made a "this has to be canon and involve Shepard" deal.

I think the assumption has been, up until recently, that DLC doesn't count as canon. I suppose that's understandable since not everyone has to own it to have completed the main storyline, but it's also official content so I've always considered it to be canon. Even if that's not always a positive thing. >.>

I think it's good that the DLC is being taken more seriously now. :)

To add about the details about the GI article, not only do we play with Liara, but if I read it correctly, we get to "play as" Liara as well. I think that might have been overlooked if I am not mistaken.

Either way, hello fellow Liara fans. Good to see you all keeping the Liara love going. I've been away for quite some time following SWTOR, but here I am again with the new info from GI for ME3, and it is looking as if Liara will never be forgotten ever again! love it!

I don't believe that is what they meant. To quote the article they wrote "playable "to some extent"", and I believe they simply mean this as an indication they are in your squad - playable in the sense you can use their powers etc, but nothing more.

So Liara is definitely in the squad.

But a mechanic like DAO and DA2 where you can change party members is just a rumour?

I think I'd like that option although it would be weird to have it considering it's the last game.

Edit* Yay for Deltaboy. More news is good news Image IPB
