Sorry about the gramma errors in my last post, I am using my Itouch to write so it gets messy, it also means the only way I can post is through the quick reply and I can't edit afterwards until I get to a computer which wound be for a bit.
Great JiGsAW2453! I look forward to seeing it if you make it.

Note that I do realize most of the fanbase is female also that I use the word men in the general term meaning both male and female.

Yeah, I hate seeing those bit. I'm playing a pure renegade playthrough of ME1 right now to finish achievements, and I really hate that Shepard can make her cry because she doesn't know how to talk to people.

Wait, what?  I've gone through all the Renegade stuff with Liara in ME1 and I don't recall her crying.

If you do nothing but insult her, and tell her to back off (which won't get you the joking bit) she'll try and tell you she's sorry and that she's not used to talking to people. But you clearly hurt her feelings in this version. She seems like she wanted to make a friend, and instead didn't.

iPods can get so annoying when typing on here! :P By the way you can quote on the itouch, you just need to select BBCode in the top right of the text field. :)

I'll try my best! :D

Fair enough. Make it a mixed group! Just give me some female swat members and I'll be happy. ;)

@TMA: I cringe at the thought of that, let alone playing through it. D:

Woman are scarier to be honest! ;P Haha.

Especially if their voice is high-pitched, they scream and you immediately drop to the ground. :P

High pitched noises are more dangerous (one of the major problems with music produced these days, there is so much high frequency content as a result of processing that it can really ruin your hearing). However, they're generally easier to block out. For instance, when I'm wearing hearing protection, I find it much easier to hear the men talking - the lower frequencies aren't attenuated as much.

There are valid reasons for breaking off a 'mance with Liara. Liara does have that one glitched line in ME1 - I've played through LotSB on a friend's save and ended the (accidental) romance, though I made sure to avoid leading her on (no kiss, no 'jealous about Feron', took the middle right after she asked).

I would suggest using kinetic weapons for any military action. One aircraft, loaded with some concrete cylinders strapped with guidance equipment would be quite effective against soft targets, and is very cheap. Remember - gravity IS one mean mother.

Steph285 - don't be so quick to confuse 'most of the fanbase' with 'the most vocal fanbase'. We have a very small sample in this thread. Chris Priestly has stated that the vast majority of ME playthroughs have no 'mances. If we go by raw data - MaleShep/Liara is the most popular. However, FemShep/Liara has the lead on fan-created content.

Yep. Well, I didn't think the answer to the Feron one was bad, but the question itself shouldn't have been asked at this point.

The question with why she is acting cold against Shepard? I felt it was a dumb thing to answer because frankly, LOTSB explained it pretty well. Also...

But she was confused about his return from the brink of death....

While I could buy her being suprised that the project succsesful in bringing Shepard back. But confused? She knew Shepard was being rebuild already, unlike the VS.

and his role with Cerberus

Again. Why would she be suprised? She knew Cerberus was trying to bring him back. I would say she should be suprised if Shepard somehow was not working for Cerberus.

and maybe struggling with her feelings for the roguish Drell

Feron?! Urgh!
:P

I just wonder why Mac did not just stick with LOTSB's explaination of "Liara did not wish to get emotional-attached".

When it comes to death and Cerberus, I think she just wanted to make sure you're "you". Not just a new Shepard, who's apparently working for them after being brought back to life. He might of meant that.

But honestly, it's possible he confused Ash for Liara when it comes to the reunion scenes.

As for Feron, she does care about him. I wouldn't put past the possibility that she'll go to him if you didn't romance Liara.

Heck! I was MaleShep, and this thread (Mainly CenCat) turned me to the FemShep side! :D

From the comics and the dialogue I've seen, I wouldn't say Liara cares about Feron in that way. I think most of her feelings about him stem from guilt at having left him behind for Shepard's corpse. He sacrificed himself (after a few occasions of lying to her and seemingly betraying her) for her goals so she's got to feel indebted to him and definitely responsible. They never had the chance to get to know one another, let alone form a romantic attraction. Most of the time she was smacking him across the face in Redemption. >.>

I see it more like a Han and Leia thing. Despite the fact that he lied to her, he did it for a reason. And she was also a stranger to him then. But after being with her, he said he regrets that she can't trust him. And despite her punching him a bunch of times, he never tried to hit her back. He instead risked his life for her.

Oh god, that pic (of Liara/feron) is now burned into my mind.

There's just something about how ridiculously tight her outfit is. I can't even imagine the materials science needed to create something like that, it must be under a millimeter thin. Also, in the picture TMA LIVE posted, Liara appears to be grabbing Feron's hand, and rubbing it against, well, whatever orifice the Asari give birth via. The urethra is probably mounted coaxially, as well.

Yeah the armour wasn't very well designed and the art in the comic was pretty inconsistent and, in most cases, not very flattering.

I think they did a better job with ME: Genesis. The Redemption art has a tendency to make Liara look like she's wearing really bad drag.
