So we know Liara is a squad mate in ME3, they say that all the ME2 squadies will be back... Does this mean they will be squad mates again in ME3, or just cameos?

Although, I'm a bit gutted Wrex is still a cameo.

Wrex I would accept as a cameo, or even a short-term squaddie. He's the leader of clan Urdnot. He's got an important job. No big deal in my book.

I know the same can be said for Liara, but I never claimed to not be a hypocrite!

I dont mind people being cameos, I just hope I can talk to them more then I could in ME2 -.- Erm.. I guess I'd want them more as an interactive NPC even if I can't bring them as a squadmember (Like Kelly as an example, saying diffrent things and such throughout the game, without acually being on your squad, or Joker)

Seems so far only Liara, Garrus, Ashley/Kaidan and the new guy James Sanders are confirmed squadmembers. All ME2 characters who survived will be in ME3, most I think will be cameos though. The way I see it, BioWare is also not going to make new squadmembers to replace the ones who got killed in ME2. But with Liara and Garrus who needs another squadmember. Also *ME3 spoiler below. Highlight to view*
With Ashley/Kaidan still rumored to be a spectre in ME3 they'll be tossed out of the nearest airlock the instant they try to order Shepard to do something or consider themselves in any way an equal to, or better than Shepard.

My favorite playthrough of ME1 was with them as squadmates...

OK, there seems to be some confusion about Man-Giraffe-Dog on the forums, notably that it just looks like a Giraffe-Dog. Well... that's the POINT. Why do you think I'm the only one warning you. It's disguised as a Giraffe-Dog until it's ready to take over the world.

Wrex hasn't been confirmed to become a squadmate. And I rather doubt he will, unless clan urdnot is destroyed on tuchanka. That would mean there'd be nothing left for him there and he'd no doubt follow Shepard again.

A Liara and Garrus team will suit me just fine. I also hope Tali becomes a squad member again. Not because I'm THAT fond of her character, but it'd certainly be great to have some 'catching up' party banther between Liara/Tali and Liara/Garrus again. Also, I wonder if Garrus and Tali know exactely what Liara did to get Shepard back, and if they do know, I wonder if they're going to have anything to say about it.

Hello Liara fans!

I got a little question. Just played LotSB again, this time with Fem!Shep who romanced Liara and I asked myself again if there is something going on between Liara and Feron. I didn't care with my canon Shep who is waiting for Ash, but I got a little bit suspicious on my Liara romance run. They are both awfully quick to tell me that they're "just friends".
Am I the only one who got that vibe?

I haven't read the comics where he appears, so maybe there are more infos on this topic, or I'm just imagining things.

Define "awfully quick" - they'll outright tell Shepard that they're just friends when asked (i.e. not suspiciously specific detail); did you want 5min of tangentially related exposition here?
But yes, BW is setting up a Feron/Liara pairing if Liara was not the ME1 LI, and they end up reusing the same dialogue and audio otherwise.

Would you want the person you are in love with and have been mourning for two years to think you'd given up on them and moved on? No, I think you'd answer quickly too. 

As for a Liara/Feron pairing for a non-romanced Liara, I'm still not buying it. Whether you romance her or not, it seems like she only has eyes for Shepard. My opinion is based mostly on her going through so much to get Shepard's body back. the "I couldn't let you go" line, and the "you're back, I have everything I want" dialogue at the end of LotSB.

I concur. Although if you don't romance Liara in ME1 (I know this only from youtube vids) and you ask Liara after Lotsb whether she and feron are together, she does not confirm nor deny feelings for Feron. She actually says she doesn't want to take advantage of Feron's current mental state by pushing for more than friendship. This, to me is a sign that something MAY happen between Feron and Liara in ME3. But of course this is only for those who didn't romance Liara. And even in this situation, Liara still cares a lot for Shepard, probably even romantically. 

So to answer the question: No, there is absolutely nothing going on between Feron and Liara when Shepard is in a romance with Liara. There also is nothing between Feron and Liara if Liara is not romanced but there's a small chance that it might happen eventually. Of course all this is based on my own opinion of what I've seen so far.

Well, this 'cliché quick' can also be used to confirm your feelings towards another. When someone you're in love with suddenly asks whether you have feelings for another, wouldn't you immediately denounce that claim with "WE'RE JUST FRIENDS!"? (Even when it isn't true, most people would probably react very strongly to such a claim)

Agreed.  Liara is so (relatively) young that I doubt she'd be actively seeking out romantic entanglements.  Shepard was definitely the exception to the rule.  Even if Shep never returned her affections, I highly doubt she'd be so quick to jump into the dating game, especially for someone she only knew for a matter of weeks (at most).

That said, if Bioware wants to make her romance Feron if she and Shepard never got together, more power to them.  I'm sure as hell never gonna see it, but if people want it, who am I to deny them?

I'm clearly biased when it comes to Liara, but I can't say I find the thought of them together adorable, considering how they started out. If it's written well enough, I can see them working towards a relationship somewhere down the line but I think they have a lot of learning to do when it comes to each other first. They basically know nothing about each other and Feron hasn't proven the most stable of people when it comes to his loyalties. Plus, there's my reasoning stated above in regards to Shepard and Liara's feelings. 

But one day, who knows?

I mich rather have Liara be with another Asari (credit for the idea goes to someone else here in this thread, think it was LET). Much more fitting that she throws off the pureblood stigma, and perhaps she might be able to change Asari society and remove the prejudice that is against them.

Much rather have that than FailFeron! 

But to be serious. Mac Walters did say that Liara might have struggled with "her feelings for the roguish Drell" when he answered the question regarding Liara's behavior on Illium. So I guess that Bioware wants to promote Feron/Liara  in the future:sick:.

@ LV - That was an ambiguous line at best. Though, granted, asking a non-romance Liara if she and Feron are "...", her own answer is somewhat vague. She says something to the effect of "it would be wrong of me to take advantage of that", when referring to all that he's gone through in the past two years.

I don't know that I'd consider that to be 'proof' that she has 'feelings' for Feron, but... ::shrug::
