^ This is really funny:lol: Nice job showing Garrus (or anyone) what happens when you mess with Shepard's girl.

Garrus stopped brag about his reach constantly to Liara after that.

Strange it needed to come to THAT before he stopped. He wouldn't even spar with my shepard because he was afraid of getting beaten up and now he shamelessly tries to pull a stunt like that with Liara? The nerves. I do like Garrus a lot though, would've been funnier if say... Kaidan or Jacob tried to do what Garrus did :pinched:

Shepard:"Erm.. Jacob, what are you doing?"
Jacob:"Just making sure Liara is safe Shepard"
Shepard:"By putting your arms around her like that...?"
Jacob:"Yeah well I... Shepard what are you..."
*Screen turns black, Rumbling noise, Jacob is seen lying on the floor, buried beneath a few metal sheets*

And from this day on, Garrus had to do all the calibrations with one tiny calculator.

Shepard was away buying blue roses to Liara. Which is why Garrus decided to make his move there.

Think this is a asari world, or the salarian one?

Now THAT is a fine, fine weapon Shepard's holding. Oh and Liara's in it. Game of the year award just for having Liara as a squadmember ^_^

Strangely enough, the thing about ME3 I'm most looking forward to right now is not the plot, the ending, the updated graphics, combat or weapons. It's walking around inside the normandy while en route to our next destination, opening a door to a room, and Liara's just sitting there, or reading some information on a computer. And Shepard just gets to go in and talk to her, and Liara actually says more than "Thanks for coming by" :D

On a different note, referring back to a conversation about renegade Liara in ME1. I just finished Noveria with Maleshep, Kaidan and Liara and as expected it was once again Liara voting to keep the Rachni queen alive, while kaidan didn't have an opinion, he simply stated there where tanks of acid that could kill the queen.

Glad they're sticking with the LotSB character model for ME3. Liara looks really awesome in this, she's going to be one heck of a character to use. Can't wait!

@Robhuzz You and me both, going to be great wandering into a room and have Liara just sitting there. Just like old times ^^

After playing through ME1 again I realise there isn't that much dialogue with Liara, or any character in ME1. Obviously even less in ME2 but Lotsb made up for quantity with quality dialogue. So I'm really hoping for some nice dialogue with her in ME3. And to top it all off a nice DAO style 'let's go to bed' topic that'll let Shepard kiss Liara at any time

Seems ME3 has been delayed to the first 3 months of 2012. Guess we'll have to wait even longer for more Liara :crying:

Don't say something like that, I wanted the perfekt renegade playthrough and now I fear Liara will once again ruin it!

And that picture! My Shepard wants to be in the middle of that, but mostly for unprofessional reasons.

The one thing I find a problem with that picture is that Shepard and Liara are standing next to a dead guy... :P

The ME2 website has some slightly higher resolution screenshots. The Asari homeworld looks sweet.

Assuming it actually IS the asari homeworld, that hasn't been confirmed. And even though it's just a concept picture, I agree it looks sweet. If planets in ME3 look like that, I'm probably going to spend the first 20 minutes on every planet just looking around at the scenery. Nice shiny building up front. Reaper landing way in the back, starting to destroy everything...Sweet...

@kumquats

For the perfect renegade playthough I think you'd do well to stick to garrus and wrex as squadmembers. Although it's always great to have Liara around for the compassionate comments ^_^

Seconded.

Either Liara's gone crazy after becoming the SB, or we have. :o

This is just idle fantasizing, but I look at this and the first thing that comes to mind is the T'soni Estate on Thessia.

Probably not what it is, but hey.

Remember kids; drugs are bad. And giving drugs to your asari partners is even worse!

To be honest, I'd be VERY impressed if Bioware went and published this image with everyone's individual Shepard :P
Would be cool though. Then we can deal with the whole ghost Kaidan issue!

Oh I know.  I get the whole 'iconic' Shepard thing that Bioware/EA's marketing team came up with.  I just think that it's unnecessary for a game this complex/interesting.  I would have much rather seen just the N7 logo (which I believe they did for the Collector's edition of one of the games) rather than a face that I don't recognize.

But uh...  Liara, eh?

With the beefed up lighting system, I wonder how often we'll see the shine points in the eyes in Mass Effect 3.

If it actually is Thessia...I don't know, I don't like it that much for the Asari as their homeworld...guess I'll have to wait and see more screenies of it. But still, the first thing that comes to mind for me is a spaceport of some sort :P

That links quite nicely into something else I wanted to mention. So glad they kept the LotSB design in ME3 :)

Never for me, since I know my system will not be able to handle it. :crying: Hopefully I'll have managed to upgrade by the time ME3 is released next year.

I hope they keep the reflective eye effects though, it's so pretty. I did notice that they tend to highlight that effect on characters they try to portray as more innocent. It really stood out on Liara in LotSB and also on Merrill in DA2. Just kept thinking "ooh shiny" whenever I played. >.>

I never really paid attention to that before I read this post. Funny things is, I just finished Virmire on my latest playthrough and I did notice Rana Thanoptis (the asari scientist telling you about indoctrination) also had very shiny eyes.

When you said "ooh shiny" however, strangely enough all I could think of at the moment was Shale from DAO...
