I'm wondering, if you broke up with Liara in LOTSB, do you think that'll have consequences? Because it seems like she's happy for you. I guess the real consequence will probably be if you reconfirmed the romance, yet continued banging a ME2 LI.

That may not be good ... Because now you are cheating on both. Does that mean that there will be two people gunning for you?
And if the ME2 LI finds out that you said you were "banging" him/her, that might add fuel to the fire?

My problem with LotSB is none of the other characters acknoledge it. So to break up with Thane there was only a choice to say "I can't love a dying man" when saying "I'm getting back together with my ex, bye!" would have made more sense. So breaking up with him felt pretty harsh, maybe Shep should just wait it out, he can't have long left right?

I think the main problem there was that only Ali Hillis and Jennifer Hale were brought in to do the vocal work on LotSB (unless they recorded it all at the same time as ME2, that is) so we don't have any dialogue from any of the squad members sadly.

Yeah, I had to do the same with Tali. Instead of telling her the true, Shepard just says "I can't do it... I can't keep putting your life at risk". Which I didn't like because it's not honest. I guess that's the problem with LOTSB being DLC.

I'm wondering this myself. Matt broke up with her. So I don't really think there should be consequences.

Anyone else getting concerned by this line? Sounds like Liara might suddenly go axe crazy and do something that will undermine the war effort because Shepard moved on. Despite handling it pretty maturely in LOTSB. <_<
As of yet I don't have ANY playthroughs that haven't been faithfull to Liara so I see no reason to be concerned about anything. Also, I do not think there will be reprecussions for breaking up with Liara in Lotsb and then romancing, for example, Miranda, because this would not be considered being unfaithfull. Only when reaffirming the Liara romance and at the same time romancing someone else would it be called being unfaithful.
In either case, both the VS and Liara are going to play an important role in ME3 and I can see both of them pulling a stunt to get back at an unfaithfull Shepard. Whether that'll undermine the war effort, I doubt it. I think it's going to be more on a personal level, I have no doubt Liara is mature enough to know when to try and get back at shepard and when not to do it.
In the end, I don't think the entire war effort is in jeopardy if you've been unfaithful to Liara (Although a set of stairs may suddenly appear next to cheating Shepard...)

Aye we'll probably get a romance climax (no pun intended) scene right before the end game. If you're faithful, you get a sweet scene (perhaps), and if you're not then it'll likely cause tension. Either way, it's not going to overshadow the main plot. At least, I hope not. >.>

Now you've got me worried. The more I think about that line, the more I'm wondering if they're going to go for the self-sacrifice route. A hurt LI gives up their own life, ending the pain but still trying to do the right thing. Ugh, that's not how I want Mass Effect to end, for anyone. If anyone should pay, it should be the cheating Shepards. >.>
