Maybe that's why she has to leave? There are other ways the Network might help than Liara telling Shepard which aftershave Councilor Velarn uses. I might even have a theory that the Network has to be destroyed in order to frustrate the Reapers (think of it: a near-omniscient library of every secret in the galaxy--you don't think the Reapers would have a purpose for it?). Liara may have been put into the position (story-wise) so she will be able to put the torch to the whole thing when the Reapers come calling. There really are a lot of ways it could make sense.

Maybe. But setting her in the role of the SB (also considering what she says) just so she can shut it down seems somewhat silly. Might as well just have the SB network get destroyed in LOTSB then.

I imagine she's still running the business per say, it's just she's no longer running it since she isn't there. It's not like she won't return to the job (unless Shepard says otherwise). Most likely she left Feron in charge until everything's finished.

I just refuse to believe that she just "left", and won't be coming back. Like say, "Yeah... being the Shadow Broker? Over it."

This can be explained by a simple story point: If the SB network had been destroyed, Liara would have had no excuse not joining Shepard. I (and every Liara fan) would basicly have demanded her becoming a squadmember for the rest of the game. Taking over the SB network was the only real reason to keep Liara out of the permanent squad (and the suicide mission)

Edit: Besides, I think it would make a good plot if a very valueable resource was recovered (in this case the SB network) and it gets destroyed/taken out very soon afterwards, losing a resource as powerful as this would be a good way to add some desperation to the game. Create a feeling like "There's just no way to beat these guys" only to be proven wrong later would, in my opinion, be a great story.

Well, given how loyal Liara is to Shepard, it doesn't surprise me that she would join the squad straight away. Anyway, I imagine Feron wouldn't have too much trouble if Liara gave him the reigns. Having a perfect memory would be very (I assume) useful in the information business.

Having Feron take over the SB network temporaly would be a good explaination if Liara joins the squad early on.

Off-topic: I have just made a fanfic account and released the fanfic I made a few months ago. I asked in the comments for people to review my fic but 154 readers in. Nobody have done so yet. Is this just normal on fanfic.net or sign that people don't like it?

It's normal, don't worry. The ratio of reviewers to readers is tiny. You don't even want to know some of the awful ratios I have. >.>

Don't be disheartened, the reviews will come in!

Ah. Cool enough. But it would be nice to know how people felt about it.

I echo the statement that the ratio of readers:reviewers is pretty atrocious. Your best bet to boost your readership would be to link directly to your story in your sig (and mention what type of story it is, like the characters and such, so that fans of that type of story can identify it).

Yep, I've had quite a boost in readers and reviews after posting on FemShep.com, for example. :)

Thanks. But I do not post that much outside this thread. So I doubt it will boost it so much.

But I might give it a shot.

Every time I've posted an update to A Good Night, I've made mention of it in here, the femShep thread, and on the masseffect group on Livejournal. That, plus having it in my sig keeps a small but steady viewership (though I still rarely get any reviews, possibly because it may be webcrawlers who just happen across the link).

Fan: I have a question if i may : May i ask how much relationships in ME3 will evolve. Im intrigued. Ash is my fav by far.

Casey: For new players, some great intros to the love interests. For imported characters, a final resolution on all previous ones.

Okay that, I'm good with. I don't mind new players getting intros to romances but the conclusion I'm hoping is for those that stayed faithful 100%

Joe_of_the_Dead: Any chance remaining loyal to the same romance through all three games will earn the player a special achievement?

Casey: I won't spoil any details on it but we love to track that stuff so the game can respond accordingly.

Who cares about achievements? :?

I want to be rewarded in-game! Shepard deserves a little extra loving for all that waiting. >.>

If an achievement is the only thing we get and it is not worth 50,000 points, I may change colour from the fan-rage.

I hope though that it's a sign of good things involving living happily ever after and blue children Posted Image

Would that colour be... orange?

I've never really been one for achievements. I don't need the game telling me when I've done something. I'm playing it, I should know! And I have no inclination to show off what I've done in-game to other people. If I wanted to share something, that's what screen shots are for!

So, in-game rewards please!

I've come across a few people who have yet to get ME2's Paramour achievement personally, some of whom have no plans to get it until they've played through ME3 at least once.

I'm hoping there will be a rewarding ending for all players, even those who didn't pursue romances. As long as you're not a complete douche, that is. >.>

I appreciate some people don't want to bother with achievements, can't say I even know what my score is, but I don't think anyone who cheated on their ME1 LI or enters the series with ME3 really deserves or maybe even wants the same end game content as someone who has played through all three and remained loyal. So I'm happy to see Hudson tentatively suggesting that there is hope for all the romantic tragics out there.

It doesn't have to be a wedding but something that really does justice to the Liara relationship and is different to whatever happens to the Kaidan and Ashley plot lines.

Edit* NO ORANGE!!!

Re-Edit* Bah I'm being too harsh, I just really want my loyalty rewarded
