I've come across a few people who have yet to get ME2's Paramour achievement personally, some of whom have no plans to get it until they've played through ME3 at least once.
I don't have it, but I doubt that's going to make a difference. Though, I don't plan on ever getting it, as I find the ME2 LIs unappealing.

I do desire the ability to romance Liara anew in ME3, b/c then I could RP the relationship as I wish....starting out as friends in ME1 and finally coming together after all the ME2 drama in ME3. Though, I realize this romance probably won't be as in depth or as 'good' as the one in which Liara was romanced from the beginning.

Yeah, I hear you. I'm very much expecting an option to establish a relationship with Liara and the VS in ME3, since there is apparently no new love interests this time around.
That would make the most sense, as those characters are supposedly getting more face time than the others. I'll keep my canon Shep as is to experience the 'full' romance but make a new one who's romantically challenged.

Oh god, I've never thought of it that way
Argh the potential in that scenario...
That's it... mind blown

I'll likely do the same, especially considering there's the choice selection at the beginning of the game that covers decisions from prior games. Although there still isn't anyone that appealing to my FemSheps other than Liara so I'll probably be stuck with staying single or romancing her again.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the comic book choice thingy!
I'll still probably go through the entirety of ME1/ME2 with this "romance fail" Shepard (I plan to go through ME1/ME2 again at least once before ME3 comes out).
Now, I'll just have to determine her class...

Infiltrator would be perfect. Any sign of romantic interest and *poof* Shepard disappears.
I'm pretty sure we could come up with a good reason why all of the classes would suit it though. >.>
Ultimately, it depends on what kind of character you make her. Is she just socially challenged or is she purposely avoiding romance?

Haahaa, that's true....though I'm drawing a blank with the others. I mean, Sentinel? IDK

I'll go with socially challenged to avoid any angsty stuff I suppose. She can be a Spacer kid that lived a secluded life on various starships.

Hey! No hating on Infiltrators! Some of us are perfectly able to commit! : P

@jlb: You should go for the Infiltrator then. What better role is there for someone who is socially awkward. Spending all that time hidden, solo, and looking through the scope of a rifle... yep, I can see it now!

It does make sense....it's always the quiet ones that prefer sneaking around with a sniper rifle. The next hurdle is to choose a hairstyle but I'll figure that out...hopefully. As long as Liara likes it I suppose it's all good.

I really hope they give us some better hair textures in ME3. Some extra variation wouldn't go amiss either but I'd just like to see something that doesn't look like Lego hair. D:

I think I'll rock the crew cut on this Shepard until ME3 in the hopes that there are better hair styles/textures. She and Liara can then have a funny conversation about the sudden appearance of hair all over Shepard's head.

Haha, doesn't sound so bad! I approve of this explanation!

I need to finally get flycam installed so I can get a better shot of this scene.
@Marshal: I think so too. It's hard to imagine how an alien will perceive it though. Weird, interesting, disgusting?
@Fiery: I was thinking of going along that route in my next play through as well. Paragon decisions but renegade dialogue. For the most part.

Who cares about achievements?
I want to be rewarded in-game! Shepard deserves a little extra loving for all that waiting. >.>
I doubt you'll get an achievement that depends on playing 2 other games before ME3. Most likely Liara will simply know you were her only sugar. And if there was another before, she'll know about that. And if you're still with that person, she'll react to that.
