What do you mean? Getting an HDTV or something?

No. But I will get a new gaming laptop. So now I will be able to experience Mass effect in something else than low graphics! :wizard:

Anyways, well if you really want to see Liara, you might want to sneak into E3. I mean, there's a high chance she'll be in the demo, since she's in the Game Informer images.

Actually, is anyone going to try and be at E3?

One does not simply sneak into E3. Beside I don't feel like taking my longboat and sail all the way to the US.

"EDIT"

Where my Shepard and Liara are going to settle down? That really depends on what the state of the galaxy is after the Reapers are gone.

That's a lot better imo. Nice job.

Now we just need a picture like that set on planet earth with lots of crumbled buildings and a few reaper parts in the background. Would make a very nice ending for ME3, the reapers defeated, most of the races in the galaxy not in danger of becoming extinct, and Shepard and Liara caring for nothing but eachother at that moment.:D

For that background, we will have to wait for months lol But I will definitely do it B)

Shouldn't it be possible to make a backup of your config file and only delete the heavy weapons and the rifles?

I wouldn't know. Sounds reasonable though.

It is possible to remove weaponry but, having never tried it, I'm not sure on the process. I've seen it mentioned in the FemShep thread though.

Yeah, it's possible (I remove the heavy weapon usually)...it involves modifying the Coalesced.ini file and recompiling it with some type of utility.

Here's some basic info.

Also, nice sig kumquats!

For those Shepards of yours who plan on having little blue babies, how would you go about picking names? Would you use names personally significant to your Shepard? Human names? Asari names? Random name generators?

My canon shepard is a spacer and so still has a mom in active service. If she gets killed in the fight against the reapers, it might be nice to name his daughter Hannah. As for other names, I have no clue. I'm rubbish when it comes to naming people. Might just let Liara think of some good asari names.

I wonder what asari do about last names. I don't really get why human women want to change their last names when they marry but I can't imagine an all female race having any such tradition. Do the children just take the mother's name? Liara's mother is always referred to as Matriarch Benezia but I assume her last name must be T'soni. I quite like most of the asari names (not so much Benezia just makes me think benzene) and since any children Liara had with Shep would be asari maybe it would make more sense.

I've already thought of Kristen and Liara's daughter's name. I can explain how I came up with it but it might be harder explaining it from their perspective. It does sound somewhat asari though (as that's partially what I went for) so I imagine they picked an asari name.

Asari names remind of me samurai and aristocrats in medieval Japan. they have a name as child. they have another when they become adults. their surname changes based on appointments, usually based on rank and locations (villages, districts, etc) they are appointed to. Names could be changed based on a reward.

Aria mentions having many names....long life, many identities. kinda cool imho. im sure they only reveal their real names to family and close friends...cept for high profile kids like Liara i guess...where she doesnt have much of a choice but to go by her real name...which isnt a bad thing.

I do agree.  I think traditionally, an asari would take the mother's name, especially considering that most asari raise their daughters alone....that would be practical at least.

I would be perfectly happy if the Shepard/Liara kids all had 'T'Soni' as their last name.  I think it sounds better anyway :P

I came up with the name 'Alissondra' for their daughter when I was writing my first fic. I've since come up with a reason that they chose that name (through an OC that I created but haven't actually written anything about yet). I'm drawing blanks for any future children they might have, which was part of the reason I asked! :)

I really like the name T'soni, I thought it was nifty when Shep called Liara "T'soni" in LotSB fighting banter. It would be odd if Shepard changed her last name since she's always referred to as Shepard or Commander.

@Sarcastic - Agreed. I don't foresee any last name changing going on post-bonding.

For some reason, I'd rather like Liara having a double last name after marriage, being known as Liara Shepard- T'soni, though that sounded a little better in my head than it does on this forum.

Shepard will, of course, never change his/her last name. I expect the (new) statue of liberty to be destroyed in the fighting and to be replaced by a Commander Shepard statue, you know... just for saving the entire known galaxy?

Thx, I was playing with the Coalsced.ini before, I only need flycam and then make some awesome Screenshots.

I don't know about names.
I only know that the child's first word will be Dada, for the annoyance of my femShep. ;)

Good point.  Gives us a reference to how asari refer to their 'other' parent.  Though it doesn't give us any insight into how they handle a female 'father'.

Father so far, since both Liara and her father use that term.

I like T'soni-Shepard as well, with an Asari first name.
I remember reading a fanfic, forget which one now...But Liara had her daughter and raised her alone for 8 years while Shepard finished her mission. When she got back, she's got told the truth. And Liara makes sure she ends up with both last names and that the principle of the school knows. (He didn't believe the daughter saying all the tales about Shepard being her "father")
That one was also a good read. :)
I've also always pictured my FemShep and Liara to have 2 daughters, not just one. One who's a little older, (while raising her Shep's parenting skills weren't that great at the time. :P) and then a second one, that Shep made sure she'd raise with full attention, as she couldn't do so as much with the first pregnancy being away almost all the time. (She still loves both of her daughters very much, equally.)
