I really want to see her making jokes... or rather trying and failing to make jokes. She did quite a bit of backtracking in ME1 and I'd like to see some of that used for comedic effect. Although most of the time they are going to have to focus on the Reapers and timing is everything with jokes so preferably not used in the same way as Transformers used jokes.

From what was covered in LotSB I think Liara might be the one to keep Shepard on task, while Shepard is the one constantly talking about other tings. I guess it comes down to how imminent the threat is. What I'd like ideally is an extended epilogue full of conversations or alternatively DLC, where everything that might not feel right timing wise for the main narrative, can then be wrapped up.

Sleeping for over a day... yeah. It was rather quiet on the forums for a while. So.. time for a new topic:

What do you guys(and girls) think Liara's dialogue in ME3 is going to look like? Will it be pure business, focused on the reapers and possible ways to stop them? Or will there be time for some personal talk as well?

80% Reapers
20% fluff

The dialog will be mainly Reaper focused as it kind of has to be.  There may be some light-hearted joking thrown in every once in awhile like with LotSB, then on the ship, I'm sure you will get to speak to Liara a bit about the relationship, if you have one.

It makes her too stressed out to realize she's forgotten to remove her armor prior to jumping in the shower?

I'm sure it will be a mix or so, hopefully there will be more personal coversations than business, I think that was just stressed out Liara in ME2 now we will see talk about the realtionship way more =]

Thanks for the explanation, Pups, but I got that part of it. The face in itself is horrendously creepy and somewhat amusing but it's this 'rapeface' nonsense. I'm probably reading too much into it.

It's an over the top joke.  Nothing more.

And I think it's funny as hell when the rapeface screen cap is used in forums.

Gorgeous picture right there! Also I think everyone was like, sleeping, well that's what I was doing anyhow -_-

Blue has always been my favorite color.  You know, if nerdy blue Asari librarian types were real, life would just be way beyond awesome, you know:lol:

I've always imagined them feeling a little like earlobes. Soft and bendable, but lacking any musculature of their own.

Not that I've thought about them a lot....... *cough* .....nope.

In my mind (since I doubt they'll ever address it in-game), the 'tentacles' in an asari's crest are static, kind of like horns, but not quite as firm.  More along the lines of cartilege or even firm muscle rather than bone.  Moveable, but not floppy.

Hey, Liara thread! I come with a question (feel free to ignore it if I should be posting this elsewhere). What are asari attitudes towards burial/the afterlife? I've looked at the ME wiki, so I know a lot of asari believe in the 'one-ness' of the galaxy, but do they have specific rituals or burial practices?

Nothing has been stated on the matter of burial, to my knowledge. I think asari who perscribe to the religion of the goddess Athame believe in a place called "The Halls of Athame", although I can't quite remember where that was said.

I thought asari held the concept of "continuous life", or something like that.

Yeah, it's one of my all-time favorites. It was my desktop for a good six months after ME1 came out. ^_^

We don't know much.  When Benezia was dying during ME1, she expected to see a 'light' but didn't.  Perhaps their belief was that this was a beacon calling them to some form of afterlife?

Sadly, we don't know much about the asari's culture, even after two games.

It would suck going to their home planet, and still feeling like you've learned nothing about them. Somehow I expect this to happen. Unless it's about sex, it doesn't really matter when it comes to learning about the asari.

which is sad cuz the asari are a very unique sci fi species.  I HOPE the writers sit down and create a encyclopedia for the various species...with indepth info.

and Asari have various religions....just a couple that are more popular and stand out.  Siari being the mainstream religion. Athame being a popular faith

That's asari who ascribe to siari.

I wondered about this too, tis a shame Shepard was too polite to ask. Perhaps Liara is equally curious about human hair. Would aliens like hair or would they think its weird and gross?

Since Asari are generally attracted to just about every species (even hanar and elcor, go figure) I do not think hair would scare them off. If anything, they'd just find it fascinating and no doubt attracting. As for other races, I haven't seen many indications towards humans being attracted to other species, or in reverse, aside from the asari of course.

No doubt there are some turian/human or whatever couples out there, but you never saw anything like this in ME1 or ME2 (apart from the quarian who dated a human and then broke up, seen in eternity on illium). So since most aliens aren't attracted to humans, I doubt they'd actually be bothered by human hair.

So advertisement on the Citadel says
"Shepard, you've recently been dead. Don't you deserve the luxury of an asari burial robe?"

So apparently they're buried.
