Since Asari are generally attracted to just about every species (even hanar and elcor, go figure) I do not think hair would scare them off. If anything, they'd just find it fascinating and no doubt attracting. As for other races, I haven't seen many indications towards humans being attracted to other species, or in reverse, aside from the asari of course.
No doubt there are some turian/human or whatever couples out there, but you never saw anything like this in ME1 or ME2 (apart from the quarian who dated a human and then broke up, seen in eternity on illium). So since most aliens aren't attracted to humans, I doubt they'd actually be bothered by human hair.
I would have liked to have seen Liara's reaction to Shepard's hair. I'm guessing the initial reaction would be something like "aww its soft" but later on in the relationship it would be "Shepard, Your hair has clogged up the shower's drain again!"

Well, I think it would be interesting to know about what kind of hair we are talking about.
I know, it's so wrong, I apologize.

That would've been awesome, although male shepard barely has any hair to speak of but it would still have been really sweet.
I wonder if asari have tried wigs.
Doubtful, they seem to like their scalps as they call them and even want to make them look good so.. no wigs. Besides, Liara with a wig would be a blue human with a pretty face and freckles.. Hmm not that that would be so bad actually.

Well, I know there was a Cerberus Network about an asari comedy. It was about blue girl going to earth, and disguised herself as a human woman, with makeup and all.
I would love it if ME3 had a mission that involved the team wearing disguises. Although only humans and asari look alike so it wouldn't work as well as it does on Star Trek (Troi made such an amazing Romulan but an even better asari).

Asari get their face markings from their "father", right? Does that mean let's say, you have a "father" salarian...Will all asaris with a "father" salarian have the same markings? Or is it just the colour? Or...Hmm. Of course with Purebloods, they're just...without markings.

im alittle confused about that myself. Im not so sure they are born with the markings...maybe tattooed at birth based on "father's" species? Aethyta doesnt have facial markings and her father was krogan. i think most get the facial markings to let other's know they arent pureblood....cuz asari are hip and progressive and being a pureblood is old fashioned and not cool.

She does have markings, though they aren't in her face. (They're near her neck...circular things.)

I think they "shed" their markings when they enter matriarch stage, though. Also, they're born without them as far as I am aware...Or maybe that's just in my mind...I might of heard it somewhere, though. Hmm...

i wonder if it socially acceptable for a asari with a Turian father to have Turian clan marking tattooed on her face.
aria has a distinct tattoo...but i think it's so she stands out....makes her a individual in a culture which is based traditionally on communal association.
i bet there is alot of bullying for individuals that standout...especially at younger ages.

"Some asari, such as their representative on the Council, have facial markings. In concept art, Matriarch Benezia's are described as tattoos; however, they may be genetic, and may denote the "father" species (as Samara, and Morinth, the daughters of two asari, have none). In the place of head hair, asari possess wavy folds of sculpted skin; aside from this and their skin tone, aesthetically the asari are the closest alien species to humans."
@corporal doody - Unusual maybe? She would still be an Asari but she might want to identify herself as having a Turian father so maybe. Damn you BioWare more cultural stuff for ME3!

Yeah, that's why I'm asking.
if they were just tattoos, why wouldn't every Asari have one? (So you can't tell which ones are purebloods, for asari society sake.) I know if I were ashamed of something, I'd probably try to hide it. Unless...they're okay with the fact of being pureblood, even if a lot of people dislike them.

I've wondered about that too. Liara says something like "but no Asari would call me that at least to my face" when explaining pureblood notions to Shepard. The eyebrows were confirmed a while ago as the Benezia's and Liara's version of facial markings it just so happened that they look like eyebrows
I suppose you could ague the skin pigmentation around Samara/Morinth's crest was a form of facial marking. Also Aethyta has more markings but only when Shepard is wasted although that may say more about Shepard than Asari facial markings. I think in the confirmation Hudson or Norman maybe said that they aren't tattoos but I'm not sure.
It would be interesting to find Asari that tattoo themselves, it could even be taboo among them or something?

Purebloods seem to be the burakumin of asari society. In extreme cases...mixed with some Hapsburg Family.

Personally I got the feeling that the asari and the turian councillor switched personalities at some point between ME1 and ME2 (in ME1 she's reasonable whilst he's hostile no matter what you do, and ME2 she wants you executed but he offers to reinstate Shepard's Spectre status...)My fave on the council

Yeah, the asari councillor says working with cerberus is treason and a capital offense (meaning you should receive the death penalty)
At that point I was really dissapointed I couldn't let shepard say something like: "I'd like to see you try and stop me!"
Anyways, yes it's going to be incredibly funny and satifsying watching the councillors' faces when the reapers are on their doorstep. There's no way I'm going to help out those fools again:pinched:
