There is no reason you can't have two bonus powers (well, OK, you lose the text area for the power description since the list doesn't become scrollable - another example of *truly excellent* craftsmanship; a modification of the available powers now requires code changes in a number of completely unrelated modules!)I picked shotguns as my bonus power in case I miss being a vanguard (playing adept this time).

I'm thinking about heading to Noveria to kill Liara's mam soon. Can't decide what team to take though, obviously Liara will want to come and her biotics are always useful. Could use some tech since I'm playing adept but not sure if I need someone with combat or not. I found Benezia difficult on hardcore so I'm dreading to see what she's like on insanity.
Since you're an adapt and obviously Liara is with you, I'd suggest bringing a tech with at least the overload and sabotage ability, though damping is also very useful as it disables enemy tech and biotic powers for a while. I found benezia to be incredibly easy on hardcore (though I did play as a soldier so I'm not sure that really counts:pinched:)
In your case I think Garrus would be your man, as he has sabotage, overload AND damping and can also do some proper damage with his assault rifle. Tali would also be a nice choice since she is pretty durable due to her increased shielding and has all the tech powers garrus also has, but lacks the assault rifle..

I hope I won't get flamed for saying this, butt I find myself annoyed Liara is a full squad member. She's the Shadow Broker, and she's more valuable as that than a biotic. It also makes her one of the most powerful people in the galaxy. Being back on the squad feels like a demotion.
No flames here, I agree completely. I would have much preferred to see Liara in more of a handler role like TIM or the Council was in previous games. Sadly we're not the ones steering this ship so we'll have to see how they make the leap from Liara being at the tippy top of informational society to being just a regular ol' hired biotic gun.

If she is 'only' a squad member and can't provide Shepard with new information, then it will clearly be a demotion.
But maybe they make room on the Normandy for some SB equipment.
EDI could be quite useful for Liara and maybe she brings her freaky info drone along.

Has she been confirmed as a full-time squaddie from the beginning? I'm hoping for something along the lines of being the Shadow Broker ****** quest-giver for the first half/thirdof the game, and then something catastrophic happens to the SB base, after which she joins the crew full-time. Of course, I don't necessarily want to rescue her from the base, since I think she could manage to escape on her own, but I think that's the best of both worlds. This despite the fact that I want to be able to continue the romance from the get-go, but we'll see.
As for the facial markings, I imagine that baby asari are born without said markings and slowly "grow" into them over the first decade of life. No real reason behind that other than I think it'd be cute. Also I imagine the crest wouldn't be fully developed until they reach a certain age. I envision that it covers only most of the scalp until the equivalent of human "puberty", and then it starts to grow longer and gets its little "flip" in the back. Again, no reason behind this other than I think it'd be adorable to see a little blue/purple asari kid whose facial markings are just coming in and her crest hasn't fully developed.

Anyway, so long as I don't just load up the game and there she is with no explanation, glad to have her back.

the collectors worked with the yahg shadow broker. it wouldnt be unreasonable if they knew where the shadow broker's lair was...due to advanced tech. the reapers used knowledge available to more efficiently "reap"....per Vigil. so if the reapers were told (or found out some other way) the location of the lair by the collectors... i wouldnt be surprised if Liara and Feron take what info they can and blow up the lair to stop the reapers from getting their hands on it.
I actually would think that Cerberus is now more likely to be one the ones kicking down the door on Halgalaz. Perhaps Kai Leng will even kill Feron!

Now, though... I'm not sure. But the first sign of Cerberus coming after me, you'd better believe I'm making a beeline for Hagalaz.

Before the announcement that Cerberus was going to be an enemy in ME3, I figured they'd leave Liara/the Shadow Broker alone, since she'd be yet another resource in the fight against the Reapers, and targeting her simply because she's involved with Shepard (at least in my pt's) would be vindictive, and TIM has generally proven to be pragmatic above all else.

If Liara is not a squadmate in the start then I will go to Hagalaz at the first sign of opportunity.
It would be funny if the VS questions Shepard decision to visit a seemingly unimportant planet instead of visiting all the homeplanets.

*Shepard + VS + others get aboard the normandy and take off, after shaking off a few reapers*
Shepard: Joker, set a course for the Hourglas Nebula, Sowilo system
Joker: Aye Aye Commander
VS: What? There's nothing there in that system apart from a few uninhabited pl..
Shepard: Remember who is in charge here Chief/LT (I know kaidan received a promotion but I'll keep calling him lt)
*some time later*
Joker: Sowilo system, here we are
Shepard: Head for Hagalaz
VS: Okay, seriously, what are you doing?
Shepard: To visit an old friend.
VS(after seeing the SB ship): What is that?
Shepard: The shadow broker, don't worry, me and her go way back...
VS: What??

Speaking of the VS. I wonder if they should be the one that is going to make the Shepard = Saren connection. Perhaps even mention the fact that Shepard has a powerful ally in the form of a member of the T'soni family.

Erm what? Could be that I'm just tired but what exactly do you mean by Shepard = Saren connection?

I guess it would have something to do with the 'rogue Spectre' thing? Since you supposedly 'aligned' yourself with Cerberus, killed Tela Vasir, and then blew up that star system (can't remember which one), the Council then inducted the VS to hunt you down (much like they inducted you to hunt down Saren).
