I think it's likely that Mac Walters will continue to write for Liara in ME3. Not that I mind; he's proven himself capable of writing her character in a satisfying way.

Actually, Mac only did some patch work for Liara in ME2 with Patrick after Drew left. Drew did most of the ME2 writing when it comes to Liara. And Patrick wrote Liara in LOTSB. So in reality, Drew and Patrick have been Liara's writers.

I am sure that we will see Liara at ME3. And hopefully we will see the rest of them as well. Hoping for Kaidan also. Liara and Kaidan are my fav-LI:s in ME.

Yeah, I'm sure they're revealing a whole bunch of characters and squaddies at E3. Casey said as much. I'm mostly looking forward to seeing Ashley's appearance in-game. I hope she appears in the trailers and/or screenshots, and hopefully with some proper combat clothing!

I'm replaying ME1 to save Ashley this time. So in ME3 I'm basically going to have 2 exact same characters, both involved with Liara, but one has Ashley and the other one has Kaidan...Now hopefully they make Tali a s/s romance option, and then I'll have to decide which one I'll use for which...Hm, decisions. (I don't like "cheating", but having to go through ME1 and 2 without an LI would be saddening. :[ ...Plus I'll keep the best one as being faithful to Liara the whole trilogy. ) *Fingers cross for Tali s/s option and/or Ashley*

I've pretty much got Alice where I want her to be with regard to the big decisions. I doubt I'd be able to create another Shepard who romances Liara. I wouldn't mind taking the friendship route with her and see how that plays off. If they make Miranda, Tali, or Ash available to s/s Shepards in ME3 I'll have my way to stay strong and single in ME1/ME2!

Space Monkeys are evil, last night was doing the ME1 mission that involves searching monkeys (is this really work for a spectre?). Accidentally ran one over and made Tali and Liara angry.
Liara was right to facepalm in that picture, space monkeys would make awful pets.

pyjaks!!! blowing them up on tuchanka is kinda fun....vermin...rat-monkies. bet they make terrible pets...unless you breed um...prolly take a few generations..then i can dig it.

Hello, all. New to the thread, though I have read it all. (No, really...)

I have what you might call an in-character moral dilemma. My canon Shep is pretty much as Paragon as possible. To the point that the plot mission which gives you renegade points no matter what really irritated me. He's also utterly devoted to Liara as a LI.

So, here's the thing. The terminal hacking mission is a renegade action. But Liara asks him to do it, and he trusts her implicitly. How should I roleplay that? It leads to a conflict between the two core aspects of my Shep's identity. As I said, it's an in-character moral dilemma. Does he hack the terminals or not?

As far as I know, here are a lot of renegade Shepards, who let the Rachni queen live, only because Liara asked them to spare her.
So I think it would be okay to hack the terminals for your LI.

The Chrome Theme looks really awesome btw.

Even my full paragon Shepards usually end up with 1 - 1,5 bars of renegade points after ME2 so I wouldn't count on staying 100% paragon.

As far as your moral dilemma and roleplaying goes, you've basicly given the answer yourself. Liara asks shepard to do something that sounds... questionable. Shepard trusts Liara implicitly and so he'll simply do it. Something along the lines of "This sounds shady Liara but for you I'll do it"
