It's really not that hard to do, I've seen different versions in a half-dozen different forums.

That would be ideal...

On one hand, discussing Liara in the context of new information would provide a boost for the thread, and lead to some interesting speculation.  We've discussed Liara in the context of ME1/ME2/LOTSB to death.

On the other hand, spoilers.

I personally love the pre-release spoilers as I feel they all tend to be minor in relation to mega game ruining ones.  If we go the spoiler route, I can change the thread title and add a *ME3 spoilers* phrase to the end.

I guess we need to decide if this thread will be the place to discuss ME3 Liara or if that should only be kept to spoiler heavy threads, like the "ME3 confirmed features" thread.  Any feedback is welcome.

I've a question that I hope the Liaramancers don't take as a jab at Liara... but if you "break up" with Liara in LotSB, will her picture on Shepard's desk turn face-down? Does it disappear? Or does nothing happen to it at all, unless you "cheat" on her with another character?

I'm just curious. Nothing against Liara, honest, but I was just wondering about how much the game pays attention to the "break up" in LotSB, if you choose not to rekindle the romance.

It is a tex mod (that I didn't make) so I'm not sure.  I would guess it's a product of the mod.  I'm not sure how the original affected it, though.

It depends...did you have an ME2 LI?

If you take another LI, it will turn down and stay down.  If not, it stays up (I *think*).  I'm pretty sure the pic status is only dependent on ME2 LI status and not LotSB (from what I've heard...never tested it myself). 

I'm pretty sure most regular posters in this thread stayed loyal to Liara, so we aren't really the best experts :innocent:

Not just next week, but also tomorrow! Right this Monday!

As for spoilers, I think we could use this thread to discuss ME3 Liara as well, but I'm not sure others will agree with me.

I'm not sure what kind of ME3 stuff we'd be talking about, really. My hopes for how she's handled in ME3 are pretty straight-forward. We know she's going to be a squaddie at some point (hopefully not right away, since Shadow Brokerin' is important business!).

They've actually said a significantly larger info flood is pouring in this summer, in the post-E3 thread period. They've emphasized on the squadmates specifically.

Not exactly a thread regular but I think spoilers should be fair game in a character thread.  Efforts should be made to keep them as avoidable as possible but no promises or guarantees made.

IGN has already played the demo shown tomorrow at E3 and it hardly contained any spoilers. No spoilers on Liara's part, just a minor plot spoiler. Still, I wish BioWare would cool it on the plot spoilers. I'm all for discussing Liara in ME3 on this topic, though if in any interview or leaked thing is mentioned that something happens to her SB base, I'd rather stuff like that stayed on the heavy spoiler forum, just like all other 'real' plot spoilers.

Feels silly to create a seperate thread for discussing ME3!Liara stuff. Can't we just keep it in this thread. And avoid as much as possible to spoil ME3 in general?

Spoilers wouldn't bother me at all, what a person hears and what they actually experience are two different things. When ME2 first came out the encounter with Liara on Illium left me so depressed , then someone dug up the hidden/unused dialogue which prompted a mass of a DLC speculation (spoilers?), all the ideas, discussions and thoughts on that were very interesting, all the searches for scraps of information from just about any source gave hope and then anticipation when it was confirmed.

Now I LIKE this version of her Lair outfit. Green is Liara's thematic color, I like it even better than the white. Wonder how the booty cape looks. Hmm.

I am told by jtav that it stays down, and doesn't disappear if you have a ME2 LI. Never tried it myself. I have no idea what happens if you break up with her without a ME2 LI.
