It would be nice if Bioware thought more about asari culture and it is indeed a symbol for the justicarhood, but i won't hold my breath.
At least they can't pull the : "It's genetic" card this time.

As far as I'm aware... no. But realistically, how many different asari have we seen in the mass effect series? A few 100? (not counting pesky eclipse or other enemy asari). How many asari are there... like several billions? It's perfectly possible for asari to normally wear some headgear in asari space, but not in shared space like the citadel..
As for Liara's alternate outfit, if I manage to get my hands on the collectors edition, I doubt I'd ever use the alternate appearance, I like Liara's Lotsb gear much better. As to why BioWare is making it look just like Samara's? To encourage discussion? Out of laziness? Or just as a placeholder for now while they work on her 'real' alternate outfit? Who's to say.

We haven't seen it on any other asari. Apart from Benezia, have we seen any asari wearing any adornments on their heads?

Not sure why people want big bulky armor but to each his own. I like Ash's new look and her outfit. They will probably have a pack that will allow people to clunk her up if they desire. Clunk can be good, streamlined wear can be good. It depends on where the fighting is to me. I hated how the group was in armor on the Citadel. It looked funny to me. I would like the option of when and wear to "overdress" my team and when less is more "stealth".
I am just exited to see both Liara and Ash in these demos!

Because Ash duking it out in a catsuit and with long hair seems like it goes against her character? She even states in ME1 that she would much rather have heavy armor compared to light armor in dialog.
In short. People don't want everyone in bulky armor. People want everyone wearng something that is sensible and in-character.
Just like Liara does!

I don't look forward to sadness, so speak for yourself on that part.
A story where everything is gained but nothing is lost is just dull.I'd also remind everyone that the SM in ME2 was supposed to be
'impossible'. I did lose one squad member the first time I played it,
without reading any guides, but I went for the "optimal resolution"
afterwards.
Don't think Bioware ever claimed that the SM was impossible (unless you mean from an in-story perspective?). I will be annoyed if not atleast a few of our squadmembers perish in this finale journey.
They probably will. That's not what I was getting at. If Earth is completely annihilated, Bioware can keep their game and I'll keep my money. Simple as that.
I'll save everyone if it can be done. You can't always get back everything you lost....but sometimes you get lucky.
Besides, enough has been lost already (especially if you made some mistakes on the SM in ME2). Your ship, your old crew (some of which will be dead) your life, your honor (working for damned Cerberus), and several entire colonies. Enough. It's time to get some back.
It's a good model for a story; this is basically how Lord of the Rings was written. Book One and Book Two were both a cluster-**** for the good guys, with lots of stuff going wrong. Book Three was laying out the ass whooping the enemy deserved and doing it in such a way that not only was he defeated, but was in fact humiliated due to the kind of people who actually stopped him.
Edit:
I do not agree with your premise that it's automatically dull if you achieve an ideal ending. It's all in how it's presented.

And there's your answer. Why won´t you buy the game if Earth is lost in the story?
This is what I want to have in ME3

Enough is lost? Shepard's death was just a setback in the end. The Normandy SR-1 ultimativly got replaced with a bigger and better version. The Collectors winded up being just a cakewalk with everyone being able to survive the dangerous suicide mission.
Sure Shepard lost credibility. But that is likely to be regained in ME3.
See. Moments like Virmire are good. And one the few cases where Shepard despite all efforts can't get a 100% victory. It is the Mass effect series wrath of Khan moment. The base got destroyed, but a good died friend in the process. Thereby Shepard suffered loss on a more personal level.
This is what I want to have in ME3. So that when I look back on the journey. Shepard have both gained and lost friends throughout. Had both ups and downs. Victories and defeats on both a personal and normal scale.

Well how do you like the exclusive appearance pack for the Collector's Edition?

Is Liara wearing something like Samara on her head?
Heh. That's what we've been discussing, the past few pages. They look like the doodads Samara wears on her forehead. The doodads may indicate Justicarhood.

Considering the discussion a little back about which model they were going to use in ME3, has anyone mentioned that the alternate appearance for Liara has blue lips?

Why is simple. It's my money, and I choose to where to spend it. I spend it on things I want and naturally don't spend it on things I don't want.
I can't imagine why anyone would spend their money on something they are not interested in. I know I certainly wouldn't.

I think Liara will love robo-dog. It would be great if she (and the other squaddies) could interact with it like the Mumbari in DA and DA2.

As I said, to each his own. Hopefully they will have choices on what our crew can wear.

I agree with you I prefer the way that ms ashely is now; and I hope that you have have her in your party running around with no armor but with upgrades. She says that that she prefers to wear armor and her hair tied up; but no one considers that she change of heart and like the freedom of not wearing armor in combat.
For liara I hope she isn't considering in becoming to be a justicar; she doesn't need to and if she is thinking it hopefully theire is an option to change her mind about it. I also hope that she is still the SB but I wouldn't be surprised if she is no longer the SB. I would like to see Liara as a full squadmember not a temp one.

When a look at the destruction, there will be no relaxing after the war. And I'm very hopeful that we get more romance dialogue.
If this game is making me so sad in one demo because of one scene, I need a lot of cuddling and flirting, otherwise I won't enjoy it.

Carpenters, plumbers, electricians, etc, etc .... They will be working their butts off.
Liara with a tool belt may sound sexy but
