Wow. So according to a PC-gamer podcast 85% of the people who romanced Liara cheated on her. I always expected the numbers to be quite high but still weird to hear the numbers.

Guess the Illium cameo did its job..

I'm surprised they're so high, I didn't cheat on her in any of my playthroughs... I think. Hopefully it's a case of lots of playthroughs distorting the numbers or just rubbish. Image IPB

Hm. I wonder if that means there will be more extensive content for those who did cheat? I'd be disappointed if that was the case.

There will probably be some extra content for those who cheated on Liara, though I doubt it will be a lot. And it certainly won't be pretty. I'm expecting a fairly emotional reunion with Liara early in ME3 (or whenever you obtain her as a squadmate) with one of the first conversations going about 'So...I heard something about you and... *fill in name*. Care to explain?' With Shepard being forced to choose between Liara and the other fairly quickly.

Of course, something more spectacular would be nice.
*Liara comes on board*
Shepard: Liara it's so good to s..
*SLAP*
Shepard: What was that about?
Liara: You Liar. All those things you said to me...
Shepard: But..
*SLAP*
Liara: No! No more! If you want to be with *insert name* then go ahead. From now on, it's just business.
Shepard: Liara I..
*Liara walks off*

As for me, I never cheated on Liara so I won't get to see a scene like mentioned above.

I cheated 4 times via savegames, those numbers mean nothing. That's why I love Bioware games, you have many options and I want to see all of them.
And getting back together with Liara if you have a ME2 LI is quite a good dialogue! It shows how Shepard's happyness is the most important thing for her and that she is very much an adult about this situation.
But that doesn't mean I will import those savegames in ME3.

Reading about the ME3 intro makes me think. In ME3 Shepard is more or less fighting on the behalf of the Alliance again. In LOTSB Shepard can if you pick the lower option when given the dogtags. Say that "it seems like forever since I was an Alliance soldier" giving the idea that Shepard sort of misses fighting for the Alliance.

Unlikely that it was some sort of foreshadowing from Bioware. But I think it makes for a nice little "in retroperspective" thing. :)

That scene you just described made me sad.

I remember reading that if you cheated, that confrontation will ultimately pop up at a really inoppurtune time for Shepard in ME3. I don't really know what that will mean but it should be interesting.

I never cheated...on purpose. I almost kinda did but that was because Jack seems to think you being nice to her and being interested in her well being and basically being a good person means you want to get with her. Cost me three hours of gameplay to get back to the point before I initiated that relationship so she wouldn't scream profanity at me after I broke it off in a panic. :pinched:

Also, hopefully there will also be extra content for those who were faithful. Feel like that'd be a nice addition.

I'm hoping we're not forced to "be" Alliance again.  Alice is a ronin-Shep.  She works for herself!  (And the Shadow Broker...)

What makes you say that?

From what I can tell, cheating --or "moving on" depending on your viewpoint-- was almost universal. It's certainly the predominant attitude among the forums.

Me too.  Can't say that I like the Alliance at all.

I still pick the lower option but see it more as my Shepard just thinking back to a time where his life and everything else just seemed a little more simpler. And not as him wishing to be with the Alliance again.

As far as I'm aware... no. But realistically, how many different asari have we seen in the mass effect series? A few 100? (not counting pesky eclipse or other enemy asari). How many asari are there... like several billions? It's perfectly possible for asari to normally wear some headgear in asari space, but not in shared space like the citadel..

As for Liara's alternate outfit, if I manage to get my hands on the collectors edition, I doubt I'd ever use the alternate appearance, I like Liara's Lotsb gear much better. As to why BioWare is making it look just like Samara's? To encourage discussion? Out of laziness? Or just as a placeholder for now while they work on her 'real' alternate outfit? Who's to say.

That's what I'm saying.  If those forehead adornments indicate Justicarhood, then maybe that alternate outfit hints that Liara plans on entering Justicar training in the future, and this will be mentioned in ME3.

We don't know.  It's just speculation.

It seems pretty clear that those Asari head pieces aren't exclusive to the Asari. Probably just a fashion.

This demo shows Liara and her abilities in ME3 in the character lvl up screen at 21:28. From the looks of it she has the exact same face model as in Lotsb, her skin tone is slightly lighter and she's not wearing any lipstic.

There was an achievement for romancing someone and I was close to 100%ing ME2 (I can never get all the achievements) so it had to be done. I don't think it counts as cheating since Shep has been dead for 2 years. I'm undecided on whether or not Thane should be dumped before ME3 since Shep did get back with Liara or if I should leave it and see if drama ensues. Also have a Liara only save and a Liara with a dash of Kelly save. I like to try out different options but can't bring myself to say no to Liara in ME1 and Kaidan is far too boring to choose.

Wha..? She IS wearing lipstick. And it's not the ME1 model since you can make out the tiny skin cells and the lip texture looks more defined.

And disappointing to many fans, it seems her eyes aren't as vibrant as LotSB.

She needs her LOTSB lips back. Her ME1 lips just looks off on her LOTSB face.

Also this.

Bioware. Just give Liara her LOTSB face back. Bad enough that she has had 4 diffrent faces throughout the series.

There is every reason to believe this is only a placeholder model.

It looks more like a mix between her ME2 and LotSB textures. At least that is how it looks to me.

I really hope this is a placeholder. I really want the LotSB face back, The current face looks a bit off the LotSB face.
