True, I'm not drawing any conclusion for a while, especially since it's still almost 9 months until release. A lot can and will change between now and then.
@Tamahome
It was pretty hard to see the 'real' ME2 Liara because of the awfull lighting in her office that made her look more grey than blue.

I think Hudson would be a good bet. But he is undoubtetly busy with E3. Perhaps once it is over we could all ask him on the same time to bring back Liara's LOTSB looks!

Woah, wait a minute. Is there already a thread discussing that bar on the left side of the screen? It looks like an influence system.
The bar on the left side of the screen looks more like the paragon/renegade meter. It's probably not active in this demo so that's why it's empty. I've been wondering about the 'influence' stat as well, but not wanting to put baseless rumours on this forum (there's plenty of those) I'm refraining from asking about it for now.
Edit: Wait a second. I suddenly remember squadmembers didn't have paragon/renegade meters showing up when you selected them. Only shepard did...Hmmm
My hope is that influence would be a replacement for charm/intimidate dialogue options, high influence would work just like a high coercion in DAO. This would at least avoid annoying situations like losing jack/miranda's or tali/legion's loyalty in ME2 because you've been playing 50% renegade/ 50% paragon. Like I said this is just baseless speculation and hopes on my part.

I really hope not. It looks like the LOTSB and ME1 versioned mashed together. Not great.

Yeah might be nothing but an error, and since we're so far from release even if they did plan on doing something now it could be scrapped during development. So far though, ME has always had two bars for the reputation/morality system. The fact that its a single bar on a companion page makes it look like a way to measure how paragon/renegade that companion is.
*edit - I kinda prefer the LotSB look, but I'm not strongly opinionated one way or another.

As for Liara's looks: This face REQUIRES dark lipstick in my opinion.

It would be nice if you could get an answer.
Influence bar in ME3? It worked well for me in Kotor2, could be interesting, but to much speculation.

And I much prefered the LotSB model. Those big blue eyes kill me.

Could be interesting yes, but if Shepard could easily influence the personalities of his squad, what does this say about those squadmembers? A little personality change from being around Shepard a long time is okay but it would be weird if a 100% renegade shepard could turn paragade Liara into pure renegade Liara over the course of ME3. Like you said: Speculation so I'm not looking too deeply into this of course.
@Oxymoo
Don't get me started on those eyes!

Never played Kotor2. It would be interesting if squaddies reacted differently based on how you interacted with them. Like Ash/Kaidan might leave if you sacrifice too many human lives. Or Miranda might leave if you're not willing to sacrifice anything. Or Liara might leave if...
Oh who am I kidding, Liara would never leave!

My shepards have all been very nice to Liara and all are romancing her. To get Liara to leave Shepard's side in ME3 would require.... I don't know, don't think it can be done.

If anything, the Paragon/Renegade thing might influence what the companions do after ME3.

Glad to see Liara coming back as a squadmate. I romanced her first way back in ME1, gave her up for Tali, and now... I am not sure who to choose.

I'm not sure if I even like Shepard having a paragon/renegade bar. Playing paragon I'm constantly having to think "say the nice thing or you'll end up killing Jack again". I preferred Dragon Age's system where companions like or dislike you depending on what you do/say. Fallout NV was pretty good with having reputations with different groups of people. I wouldn't mind if Shep can influence her squadmates but I wouldn't see the point in them having a paragon/renegade bar.
My only concern with the paragon/renegade meter was "I really want to use a renegade option this time but that'll give me +30 renegade and I'll not have enough paragon to resolve that situation later". So really, you're forced to choose paragon or renegade, you can't stick somewhere in the middle. I'm hoping BW resolves this in ME3. And I don't want to have to use console cheats to add a full bar of paragon/renegade...

I wouldn't mind having her eyes be deep blue again though. Those were nice.
I wouldn't read too much into that alignment bar. It seems more to me like they just didn't get to removing it in time for E3 and just kinda left it in.

This is definitely a problem I've run into too many times in both games, especially ME2. Although, I've learned that its much easier to get most if not all possible renegade or paragon dialogue options if I play the missions in a certain order. Loyalty missions like Talis, Samaras, and the confrontations have pretty high paragon/renegade score checks, so doing those before other missions will almost always allow me to pick the blue/red choices.
