Actually, after looking at the outfit again (carefully this time), it looks like it's an EXACT copy of Liara's Lotsb outfit, just in a red/black colour, complete with the small cape and everything. Not Samara's outfit at all. This pretty much throws the justicar rumours out the window as far as I'm concerned.:pinched:

I think people knew that it was a recoloured version of the LOTSB armor. It's just that Liara wears some sort of jewelery of sorts that made people speculate.

I think that the white "thing" on her head is actually part of her scalp.

Could be a lighting issue + the bad resolution of that pic.

But anyways, the release date is about 9 months away and I'm already hyped for ME3. :o

Ah-hah! One of my favorite DeviantArt artists did a new piece of our favorite asari!

Image IPB

I love this artist's style. I must admit; it makes me kinda want to man-squee.

It is a very nice piece. : ) I've never noticed this before but Liara's never worn anything with short sleeves, has she? Didn't realize that until I saw this picture. : P

Gah, every time I think to myself, "Gee, this new look of Liara's is growing on me" someone posts a picture like that and I remember how unabashedly in-love I am with her LotSB look.

I'm good with her LotSB face model except for the lipstick. That is literally the only thing keeping me from liking the LotSB look. Blue lips just remind me too much of frozen dead people and having them blue just makes her face way too one-toned. Purple lips add some contrast that I think is really needed on the model. Thus, I like the new model(which is truer to her original model which I find better for consistency sake).

Anyway, this trend has kind of been bugging me. Most of the Liara/Shep fanfics I find are FemSheps. While I understand why, it kind of saddens me that MaleShep is so under represented.

I like the blue lipstick because A) I don't like her pink lips, since I don't think it's a good match with blue, and seems too human. B) Because her mother has similar lips. C) She seems more of a woman with lipstick, and being a fan of Film Noire, it helps create that vibe. D) It's a nice progression change. And E) I honestly find it sexy, and it helps put a focus on those lovely lips.

I prefer Liara's LotSB appearance.  It looks more natural, and blue lips make more sense, considering the color of asari blood.  Human lips are pink because of our red blood.  Asari blood is purple.  Blue + purple = indigo, the color of her lips in LotSB.

I have to agree with that, it made me wonder if the asari are cold to the touch. For some reason they just seem like they would be slightly colder than humans.

I think why I liked her better in LotSB had more to do with the banter and dialogue that was shared. I just fell harder for her as my Shepard kept crashing that dang taxi (her comments were priceless) and how in the fight scenes she kept warning my Shepard (Cover your eyes, etc). If she favors ME more but the dialogue/exchange remains LotSB than I am a very happy camper! Image IPB

This really comes down to differing opinions and tastes. On your points: A)They're purple which I think goes fine with her blue skin. Also, she's basically human except for those tendrils on her head and the blue skin. Making her lips blue doesn't make her all that much more alien and having them purple doesn't make her all that much more human if you ask me. Purple's not really a human lip color either.  B) I don't see much point to making them wear matching make-up. I don't see the point to having Liara wear her mother's make-up. :/ C) I never liked lipstick. Just a thing about how unnatural it looks. Red lipstick just looks so weird to me. D) I don't really follow but if it means that to you, okay. :/ E) Again, I find them unappealing.

Well, that's it I suppose. What I think we can all take away from this is that neither one is better than the other, it's just a matter of preference. Which ever way they end up designing Liara, she's still Liara and we'll accept it. Can we agree on that? B)

I said this before but it'd be interesting if they made alternate appearances for both models if you ask me.

I don't see why.  Human biotics have higher body temperatures, because of the increased energy expenditure associated with possessing a biotic system.  Human biotics have heightened metabolism.  Human biotics have to eat more, to keep up with this increased energy expenditure.  Asari biology could be entirely different, though, considering that they're all natural biotics.

I see your wistful Liara and raise you thoughtful Liara

On reflection I don't think that's a good raise... bah I'm lousy with poker. But LIARA!

Maybe it's their color and their head shape - Blue and water make me think cold, not that it is a bad thing. Since they are natural biotics then maybe their bodies are set at a colder temp to compensate. Image IPB

Unless Bioware adds it to the codex or in-game, I'll just keep thinking that they are a colder species than humans.

I would draw some maleshep/Liara stuff if I could. Sadly, my drawing skills are.. not up to the task and let's leave it at that.
I did have a very nice (IMO) idea about a maleshep/liara picture: Liara/Shepard taking a shower together (make of that what you will) with Liara quickly taking Shepard's clean clothes afterwards. Just imagine Liara wearing dark jeans and a fancy alliance shirt (for example the one shepard wears to the trial) that's too large for her, with both of them laughing about it in the background.

Sadly, as mentioned, my drawing skills aren't up to this so I'll have to make do with imagination.

Since I hae holiday now I considering finally writing a new Liara/MaleShep that I had in my mind for so long. Perhaps in some time I will finally make it.

In the meantime. Why don't you read the fanfic in my signature!

I actually did read it. I quite liked it, I would have liked it to be a bit more than just a oneshot. You know, write her encounter with a resurrected Shepard and the whole DLC events from her perspective. I'd like to read your new one once you get to it. =]

"Civil war"? That sounds ominous. No, I wasn't really around here much before. Should I know? :o

Well thank you then. If it is any comfort. The fanfic I planned to make will more or less continue with that "universe" and would be about the Illium cameo.

Wow. So according to a PC-gamer podcast 85% of the people who romanced Liara cheated on her. I always expected the numbers to be quite high but still weird to hear the numbers.

Guess the Illium cameo did its job..

This? He pulled that out of his arse

What makes you say that?

From what I can tell, cheating --or "moving on" depending on your viewpoint-- was almost universal. It's certainly the predominant attitude among the forums.

More proof that I'm weird.  I've never completed a single ME2 romance in over a dozen playthroughs because my imports all either romanced Ash or Liara, and I just couldn't bring myself to do it.
