Is there a logical order?

So what order flows best between Blackmarsh, the woods and the thiag. Or is each completely seperate objectives that aren't so much directly related like Origins?

Wending Woods > Silverite Mine > Knotwood Hills > Kal'Hirol > Blackmarsh
This is the only way to get not only everyone in your party done up as a Grey Warden, but the possibility of every Special Item.

If it's any consolation, you do get to use Vigilence in Golems of Amgarrak and Witch Hunt, despite what the Awakening epilogue says.

I think some of the epilogue stuff occurs after Witch Hunt, the last part about the Warden disappearing referring to Witch Hunt if you romanced Morrigan. Like, for instance, Harrowmont's death is spoken of, but one can only assume the stuff concerning Orzammar (regardless of the ending) takes place some time into the future.

The order that makes sense both structurally and decision-wise seems to be:
Wending Woods > Silverite Mine > Knotwood Hills > Kal'Hirol > Blackmarsh
This is the only way to get not only everyone in your party done up as a Grey Warden, but the possibility of every Special Item.
With no spoilers beyond what you'd know in the first conversations with the seneschal and other advisers early on in Vigil's Keep...
Really?
That order would work for a slightly dark or selfish character in terms of decisions, as that means focusing primarily on re-opening trade routes, then tracking down rumours of a major threat and then, almost as an afterthought, going "Oh yeah...that missing guy who may have really important information. Maybe we should check that he's alright..."
For the more honourable types, Knotwood Hills would make a strong first choice for starting as it attempts to address the greatest perceived violent threat (IMO) to Amaranthine, which the majority of the populace is poorly equipped to deal with and which would be good to address sooner rather than later.
The Blackmarsh would be a possible honourable-ish alternative to start, if the character places the life of Wardens above those of others, or believes that the most disturbing threat is what was going on when they showed up at Vigil's Keep.
In terms of a whole order, though....for someone's first playthrough where you know absolutely nothing of what is to come and want the story to unravel in the most engaging way possible, I'd say Blackmarsh, Wending Wood, then Knotwood Hills.
I personally feel that Blackmarsh is the most mysterious and teasing way to introduce the player to what's going on, although there's not much to call between that and Knotwood Hills.
...frankly, any combination that doesn't put Wending Wood last should work well. And the only reason I say that is because to me it makes storytelling sense to see more for yourself after a certain person makes certain claims in there.
