I can feel the hype flowing through my veins. I am actually very pleased with Hawke's voice, it is not too soft, not too deep, but sounds very sophisticated and highly intelligent. I'm still not sure what I think of all the long jumps and extremely quick, over-the-top, almost DMC-ish moves, but I am digging the increased blood and gore.

Woot I am so totally stoked about this game! <3

IMO the character appearances, to me, appear a lot less defined in many ways than those in Origins/Awakenings - these new ones have the flattish "pudding face" syndrome that the sims in Sims 3 suffer from.....Isabela looks so plain to me...she has no distinctive features other than her chest atm... I thought BW might have enhanced her face some more since the first in-game pics of her became available...

Regardless, this game is not an ANTM sim, I am pre-ordering

he looks shorter than isabela to me.
if he was an arlathan/ancient elf (one of the speculations) white hair could be there due to age.

qunari as seen in the animated short of the developer diary video seem to also have individuals with dark hair

He looks about the same height. There's a perspective issue, but in the forefront he's taller than her, although that might translate into being roughly the same height.

As for hair color, both Elora of the halla and a random elven child running around Denerim had white hair. It's apparently just an elven trait. If it means something special, I don't k

Nothing.  Extending the release date as to accomodate your idiosyncratic preview video standards isn't a very good reason, though.

This dev cycle is very short for a AAA title, the animations in the video showed me that the game is in need of some serious polish in a couple areas..

From what little I've seen and what's been revealed, the game is looking a bit rushed. Now maybe this build is old as well, but if that is the finished product (i.e. current build that I'm assuming should be in lockdown), then I say take some more time on it.

OK I had heard rumors from some old friends that Dragon Age was ready on the PC six to ten months before it was actually released, because it was going through optimization on the consoles.

I am still not sure if this is true of course,

Its not a rumour its well known that the PC version was finished 9 months before it was released.

*shrug*  I don't know how many man-hours Bioware has devoted to this game relative to other AAA titles, and you don't either.

Maybe you're right and maybe you're not, and I'm not arguing against postponing release dates as a matter of principle - just that I'm not in favor of doing it just to accomodate its marketing.  The quality of the game will win out, and if that quality could use some improvement before release, delay.  Not because you can't get out a perfect preview video.

Just noticed the above dialogue wheel says: "What do you think, Warden?"

Yes I noticed that was well. I wonder what it means?

The guy with similar armor to the warden in the blur trailers would chime in.

It means they came up with some of their conceptual storyboarding - including some of the art style and the dialogue wheel - before they settled on Hawke as the protagonist?

It's just early storyboard / presentation, anything on there is probably gone into the abyss of the Writer's Pit and changed.

Epler remarked earlier that they haven't gone through polish yet so it's not lockdown. There are still three months till release.

I assume it's referrance to the guy in warden armour at the back (the gold shield with the warden emblem on it). Is it me or is that warden's armour very similar to Malcolm's one in the sacred ashes trailer?

Like the other's said, it doesn't mean much, it's just concept art from early pre-production.

wow!! I was pretty impressed by the Rogue combat in the vid, moreso than in any of the leaked videos before.

I did like that new "Rush" charging attack for the Rogues, as well as the dagger design, and the red in the armor!

Well, my immediate reaction upon watching that is they don't care about PC gamers anymore. Every design choice seems meant to make it play better on consoles and to hell with the PC gamers. Thanks Bioware. I was so happy that you made a Baldur's Gate style game again and now you're taking it away from me in order to appease the ADD console gamers.

Must we have the constant name calling? also they have already mentioned before that PC and Console will play differently to suite so that PC doesn't get anything "dumbed down"

Why are they still calling the Signature Edition a free upgrade? Regardless of what their aims were with it, nearly every retailer is selling it for 10 dollars extra. That's not a free upgrade.

Retailers priced it how they wanted to, and Bioware jumped the gun.

What he said.

Ok I still need to catch up on most of this thread but YAY BOULTON. Maybe it's just because I was very certain it would be him, but Hawke's voice sounded so natural and fitting to me. Hurray!
