Man, too bad that storyboard at the beginning was just to get a flavour for the overall tone of DA2; That female elf rogue looks pretty badass.



I also got to hand it to whoever put the video together. I really dig the blood diluting into water transition that's sort of become a staple for all things DA2.

I really do hope that elf is in the game. She looks awesome. As for the Grey Warden I honestly could easily see a Grey Warden in the game as a companion. Not being the main character also could make for more variety with how to handle him/her; disgraced, slowly succumbing to the Calling, etc.

I think the wild 'punk' look kind of suits the elves of the DA universe actually. A disenfranchised underclass perpetually being put down by 'the shem'. I'd go all Travis Bickle on them as well

Exact opposite to me I always felt their clothing and look was too well maintained and normal. Morrigan looked closer to what I expect Dalish too look like then the Dalish did.

I just wanted to add that this Ulrich von Hawke character looks so much more badass then the one we currently got



I love his armor, it fully protects his arms, but also got this pimp fur lining for a collar XD

Hmm.. It seems that leap hawke made was a skill not a feature. Thats good news.
I would have liked the skills to remain in a square shape rather than diamond but I'll deal.
My only problem is the avatar and health bar. I hope they will be move the avatar back to the top of the screen, and add a bit more design to the health, and stamina/mana bar.

So far I am liking the UI but I have always been more a fan of simplistic design for UIs. Designs like Uncharted and Assassin's Creed both aesthetically and just how they work are some of my favourite. The translucent hotkey bar is especially nice.

I could have sworn in they mentioned in an interview they were going to make the UI have some tapestry theme to it. As it stands, it looks....dare I say "spartan"? It doesn't need to be flashy or anything but it just looks resoundingly uninspired, the portraits and health bars especially.



I really wish they'd just go back to the circular portraits in the upper left.
