@AdemBroski... It doesn't matter if it is a Dwayne Johnson reference or not :P j/k yes it was ;)

@David Gaider How do you guys tune them out? I so want to know as whenever I see them post it just makes me want to facedesk. after a double facepalm.. which I guess really makes it a knuckledesk seeing as my knuckles will most likely hit the desk rather than my face.

As for whether it is Anders, considering in that pic Aveline is still wearing her armor we've seen her in before, am going to guess it is early on so if it is Anders he could technically be there if it is set early in the game.

he's always getting captured by templars, i wouldn't be surprised if this was his 5th or 6th time

Damn...now i am pretty sure it is not Anders. A templar is like 3m from him and he is not worried, scared or anything...

I think he does it purely to be caught by them because he just loves seeing their uniforms.

Edit: @Ankuu see my above comment ;)

Though it does further have me wondering how Bethany (and potentially Hawke) will be treated by them. Specially if they see us casting magic. Hawke isn't going to get any special dispensation like the Warden did.

Or is s/he?

I, for one, approve of Isabella's chest size! Actually, I approve of mostly everything I saw. Good work!

Yea because of your post i got that idea. Even in Awakening when he saw templars he wasn't just ignoring them and viceversa, while in the video it surely does look like it...but they are ignoring Bethany too...meh...it may or may not be Anders.

You just roll your eyes and move on, man. It's not like they're fooling us into thinking they're fifty people because they've posted ten snide comments in five different threads, so relax. Image IPB

Man, I scanned through that whole video 20 million times and I still can't find the spot where the screencap of Hawke and company is.

On the far left, is that Gunther?

And on the far right, next to Aveline...Anders?

Thanks! /relief

As for the video itself... elf bowgirl looked weird and her bow sounded like a gun. Hawke had an interesting looking dagger thing in the moment right before that screencap. His voice sounds alright, though that scene felt lacking in facial expression.

I know I heard Aubrey Ashburn's voice when you guys were showing the Flemeth models :P
Hawke's voice is great and I love it. But what hyped me even more, was this:

Is the face-nutella default, no matter what class Hawke is?

Nothing we didn't know.

Still looks horrible and doesn't make me pre-order one bit. I hope this is not the Pc gameplay we were promised

No. You're not seeing a very clear shot of him, there. I wouldn't read too much into it.

Guys I think the one guy in the back with the bow is the one extra companion we get with the Signature Edition. His armor and bow pretty much fit what we saw in the silhouette.

Well, I guess I am the only one in this thread disappointed with the reveal so far. Just my observations on some of the comments in that video:

"...but there were elements of it that seemed to be dragging."

"If you are playing a dark fantasy, you don't want combat to feel like you are playing a chess game with a friend."

I am sorry, but that's exactly what the appeal of the game was for most PC gamers. The strategic and somewhat slow paced nature of the game's combat. That was the game's strength, alongside the fantastically written dialog and the colorful NPCs.

I loved Dragon Age, but let's get real here. If you took away the combat, you were basically left with an above average game, rather than the excellent game that it was.

If you compare Dragon Age to something like The Witcher, you realize how dreadfully cookie cutter it was. The races and the entire world was like a giant cliche.

The Witcher was a true dark fantasy. Dragon Age was just a high fantasy with blood and gore. It had some elements of dark fantasy, but not nearly with the same consistency as something like The Witcher.

So the parts that they claim to "drag along" were what appealed to CRPG players, and reviewers like Desslock from PCG.

Anyway, that's all I want to say.

The game looks like it will be a lot of fun, and I will preorder it for sure. It definitely looks like a game I want, but not the Dragon Age I want. The combat seems to be far too fast paced, from what I can tell... too trigger happy heh.

Isabella looks better, maybe she looks better because she's smiling or I just needed some use to, either way my inicial fear about her face has passed into history

The combat was universally praised in every review I've read.

No one complained about the combat, no one it was the best element of the first game.

Please speak to PC gamers outside of this forum. You might learn a few things.
