Hello everyone:D i've heard a lot of people having this kind of problem so i'm trying to
fugure it out... i have all the trophies but i still cannot achieve
those two... some said it's a bug... i don't know...../../../../images/forum/emoticons/andy.png
i would like those who had this problem and managed to solve it to
write down a small "how to do it"    you have my thanks!!

What system are you on? I've got the PC version and have both achievements... no "workaround" involved.

oh i'm on PS3 and i cannot achieve them... i'm on my fourth PC with over 2000 dark spawn killed... but no sign of the trophies... i'm trying to figure it out but till now nothing...

Didn't i just tell u this kakashi ur PC has his/her personal kill the 2k darkspawn killed involves the entire group of part member i.e. Morrigan at a certain percentage what propose u do is when u fight the archdemon use the elf army (keep them at 50) then let ur teammates die then go kill some darkspawn but not the archdemon then u hit the 500 mark finish it there and use the ballista's to kill the archdemon 20-30 times should do it on casual that or if ur elf archer use the multi arrow talent to slay more darkspawn along with the archdemon (i soloed him with my archer it was funny cuz he didn't notice me a big gaint lol)

yes i got it but the problem is that i have a mage and i constatly get surrounded by hurlock captain and shriek and it takes forever to slay them... if it was just normal hurlock and genlock it'll be no problem but with those guys attacking me and with no allies besides the elves ill run out of mana in no time... should i restart the game and use an archer?? warrior or rogue??

I say start again and make an arcane warrior,and at the final battle get ur tank to get da darkspawns attention and open up on them with all your aoe spells then charge in sword swingin and kill 2000 darkspawn get da achievment and kick da ****e out of da archdemon!

Actually, I had the 500 kill mark on my first playthrough, while I was still in Orzammar... did you leave out that many darkspawn...?

I have a number of trophies on the Ps3 ive achieved and they havnt triggered. both 500/1000 Darkspawn kills. and others that my stats say ive gotten the #s. but havent gotten the trophies.

I have 4000 total kills (the stats don't break out darkspawn), but I don't have either the 500 or 1000 achievement. I don't get it. I did one playthrough where I killed everything. I am now 1/2 way thru my second (with a different character). It seems like I should have this achievement. I am new to the forum and not familar with any bugs. I am on the Xbox 360. Any thoughts on why I don't have these achievements?

im on the xbox 360 and for the achievement does it add up all darkspawn killed through all playthroughs? because if so i should have the trophy for like 5000 and yet i dont have either the 500 or 1000 one

i have it on ps3 and i have killed over 1000 darkspawn on two seperate playthroughs now. It wont unlock the Blight-Queller trophy (1000 kills) i read this was due to the kill count being reset if you download an expansion but i had downloaded all expansions prior to the last playthrough. its the only trophy i need. I have also read that by having any expansion blocks this as well.

i have no idea how but i got that 1000 darkspawn kill trophy on my very first playthrough on ps3 strolling through the game on casual with my poorly built 2h/swordboard dwarf warden with an endgame lvl of 18 which i completely deleted from my system later...

I've played the human noble, dalish elf, city elf and human mage to completion with all DLC plus awakenings as dalish elf and still hadn't unlocked the 1000 kills on Xbox. I then went back to save at the door just before the climax and finally achieved it. After reading a number of forums I really have no idea how I unlocked this.

I got the achievement for getting all endings, though I have yet to do an Ultimate Sacrifice ending. Aside from some origin story achievements, I'm also missing the blight queller one.

Hopefully, before I'm officially done with Origins I can get this achievement, because it would suck to have all achievements except for this one, after my many playthroughs. Perhaps I'll get lucky sooner than later.

Hmm, I'm working on this trophy as well. Currently playing a primal mage allowing me to devastate everything with AoE. What I heard rumor wise is that you (i.e., the main character, not the party) has to kill 500/1000 darkspawn. Now, I do not know if this is true, but I'm giving it a try.

If you guys want, I'll attempt to post the results if I succeeded or not. I'm hoping to be done within the next 20 game hours.

Well, I ended up getting it eventually just sitting at the Archdemon fight with AoE on the spawn points...

Took until 1150 or so to get it, so I'm not sure if that is my char killing 1000 of the darkspawn in that run, or if it is cumulative over several runs. This is due to this being my nth character, but 2nd run through.

Wish I could of had more input on this :/

Further reading of various forums indicate that you must kill 1000 yourself, not the number of party kills. Also it seems if you save just before a major Darkspawn encounter you can continually reload that save as the number of kills are cumulative regardless of story progression. So it is possible to grind this achievement.

Thanks for some of the recent posts. I've read various posts that suggested using aoe somewhere near where darkspawn respawn from. I've read the alienage in denerim, and I'll also try the archdemon fight, and perhaps reloading a particularly crowded area with darkspawn.

It's a head-scratcher how some people can get this by accident on their first playthrough, while people like myself can play this for over a year with dozens of characters, and this will be the last remaining achievement to be unlocked.
