Why are people so opposed to a vorcha squad member?
If there are genetically modified krogan, crazy emotional biotic freak prisoner girls,  hired killers,
crooked cop types, and most of all geth who only in ME:2 even spoke (vorcha are already a bit ahead of that)
so why isn't it an option?  I personally think we need more crazy team members just for variation, even garrus and thane who kill people all the time act like real wimps next to renegade shepard.

Party members have a nasty habit of turning into love interests. A vorcha would make the process awkward.

I find it hard to imagine a conversation with a Vorcha that would last more than fifteen seconds.

Vorcha don't have much potential for character development, unfortunately.

Well, if Grunt, Zaeed and Kasumi are on the ship and are not a LI in ME2, then why not have a vorcha crewmember, based on that chain of thought for ME3?

Regardless, there are other concerns mainly with how Vorcha socialize with each other, and with how most Vorcha live and are treated by other species.

It would be tough for a Vorcha to acclimate to spending time on a ship with so many other species if the vorcha party member does not have that type of prior experience (maybe former Blood Pack?) regardless of their physiological adapability.

So what I can picture for a vorcha party member candidate, is a vorcha that is a merc veteran that is close to 17 to 19 years of age that might join Shep for one last mission in his/her life.

But that kind of character could then be considered to have an amalgam of traits from three of the existing ME2 squad members.  Jack (wayward fighter, troubled past), Mordin (old man, one last mission) and Thane (near death, seeking atonement) into one new squadmate in terms of the backstory, but then again maybe I'm overthinking the backstory .

So I'm open to alternatives.

the vorcha are my favorite species. i'd like a vorcha squadmate. with that said, he'd have to be the smartest vorcha ever for it to work.

I can only see this as possible if we can have a young vorcha who can be trained and thought, susceptible to whatever commands he is given - basically a pet.

A vorcha party member? I would rather have a large rock than that.

I think Shepard would shoot him before he could even hiss and say something.

We spoke to two vorcha too many in ME2. Same with Batarians. I'm sure there are some nice, friendly representatives of the hideous alien species out there, but they will not be in my squad.

Let me sum up every conversation for you:

Shepard: "So, what was your childhood like?"

Vorcha: "KILL EVERYTHING! KILL THEM ALL! EAT THEIR CHILDREN!"

Shepard's thoughts: Should've gone with the batarian...

This is a creature that will stick it's genitals into a pencil sharpener multiple times to see if it wears out. I highly doubt they can even fanthom the idea of Reapers, being a squadmate, or kinetic barriers.

They're considered violent and "uncivilized", not stupid. Most krogan in both games are reasonably intelligent.

From the lore and their description, I get the impression that vorcha diplomats are rarely potty trained.
