The question I'm more interested in is [why does this topic have brackets around the question]?

I find it hard to imagine a conversation with a Vorcha that would last more than fifteen seconds.

Then he'll fit in with all the other DLC squad mates.

Having said that, I would personally love a Vorcha love in--I MEAN SQUADMATE.  Yes, squadmate.  I'm not a freak.

A vorcha would be incredibly shallow as a character. I'd rather have a batarian or volus.

A vorcha could be the Dog of Mass Effect.

Only much louder.

you know what would make a better dog in Mass Effect?
A Varren

honestly... did the Vorcha really add anything to ME2? I would have much rather have fleshed out the exsisting aliens with the much wanted missing females then get... what? Space Goblins? For mindless things to attack Shepard we already had the new mechs why did they need to add these guys?

+1.  We need Urz the Wonder Varren back for ME3.

If there are genetically modified krogan, crazy emotional biotic freak prisoner girls,  hired killers,
crooked cop types, and most of all geth who only in ME:2 even spoke (vorcha are already a bit ahead of that)
so why isn't it an option?  I personally think we need more crazy team members just for variation, even garrus and thane who kill people all the time act like real wimps next to renegade shepard.

Because unlike Legion they're kind of stupid. From there description there basically tough slave labor because they dont know any better. I feel sorry for them for the most part. At least Grunt has tactics ingrained in his DNA most of the crew member bring something to the table Vorcha are basically cannon fodder I'd rather have Joker on my squad.

What about a varren crew member (and, of course, a potential LI)?

Party members have a nasty habit of turning into love interests. A vorcha would make the process awkward.

I hate Vorcha almost as much as I hate Batarians.

There is a reason my Shepard is a Ruthless Colony Born badass . I hate all those 4 eyed freaks.

well, vorcha can be trained. they also adapt really well.

i suppose if a vorcha were trained from when it was a newborn, it would be pretty smart and useful.

also, how about a YAHG squadmate?

Because Vorcha where made to look disgusting.

All their traits are based to things that disgust people.

They walk like cockroaches, they speak like demons, they have big eyes like insects, they have a reptile skin...

Vorcha are the outcome of the combination of things that disgust or terror people.

What was it the Krogan scout said?

Vorcha aren't soldiers, they are just like Varren only they don't crap on the floor as often.

Just because we are at the end of the first ME saga. So I'd like to see just a few but well done new entries, and an almost mindless alien is not exactly what I have in mind as definition of "interesting new character". For a multiplayer spin-off, or in a new future story maybe. But I don't see a Vorcha fitting well in Shepard's crew.

Yes yes. The conversation wheel will say ' --- I should go.' and the vocal equivalent is "WE LEAVE."

Hey. When Final Fantasy VI introduced a YETI squadmate that you couldn't even control named Umaru, nobody screamed bloody murder there!

The vorcha could be the saliva slinging mindless berserker class that every RPG needs has.

After reading all of this I'm starting to get why the dialogue is the way it is in mass effect. A lot of you seem like the kind of people who want to play a sophisticated clean teen kind of shep. Which is fair I guess, but for all of you saying vorcha are scum, I don't want to play like that, I want to kill people and laugh while I do it like a real renegade, not an average wuss who makes sarcastic jokes every now and then and acts like a ****, and I want my squad members to represent that.

It's the end of the games other than maybe spinoffs and you're all complaining about vorcha being mindless and stupid with no backround? So how would you go about making them into legitimate characters with a background? By making them more central to the story.

I also want to point out that someone said : Well durr hurr, legion is smart. Until we met him all geth just made clicking noises, doesn't really come off as intelligent to me so why the hell couldn't there be a smart vorcha or two? Mass effects universe is awesome if you ask me but it's also severely flawed. Why? There's less diversity across the mass effect universe than there is across planet earth. When have we seen a salarian woman? turian? krogan? volus? hanar? ****, it looks like quarians and humans are the only people in the galaxy that have women! Sounds ****ing stupid to me, and just like we need to see those things, I think we should see a smart vorcha at LEAST. I would still love a vorcha teammate.

A vorcha would be niced, if we had a geth that was potty trained (one that could speak English and not disturb the crew) then we sure as hell can have an educated vorcha
