In Origins, I would always pick a ponytail or braided hair for my male PC, but it always felt a little too "conservative" for a guy who goes arounds butchering Darkspawn ; would it be possible for male Hawke to have access to long hairstyles like his female counterpart (though not necessarily the same ones) ; I'm not asking for hair with physics and all but something more untamed/flowing than the usual medium length emo combover would be nice. Oh, and while I'm at it, beards in Origins were REALLY massive ; somewhat thinner beard textures and long beards that don't look like tapestries would be a real plus for low test people like me who for some reason refuse to give in to the clean shaven look.Posted Image

Rayin doesn't try to think about it too much, it just turns out that way. He probably wouldn't look exactly like that if there had been more options, which the OP suggested. It was just the closest to "messy and kinda long" I could find.

He's too preoccupied and indifferent to worry about stuff like "haircuts" or "shaving."  Edit: Closest I could find on GiS to the idea I was going for appears to be a brown-haired Owen Wilson.

I want better and longer hairstyles for both genders in general.

Both genders need them, the female hairstyles in every bioware game to date have been awful. I will say that default LadyHawke's hair looks good for a short style, and the only nice thing about Isabella to me is her long hair.

Probably not. Hair has never been Bioware's strong suit.

Well hopefully they'll do it for females too, I had to download hair mods to get my warden with long hair. I wonder if a woman does the hairstyles for Dragon Age...if not, maybe they should, cause I can't stand all the hairstyles being either shoulder length and bleh or manly short.

I don't particularly like long hair - something easy and manageable, something that you can roll out of bed and be good to go always works best for me when I'm creating a character, because these characters are fighters. With long hair, you're just creating something that can either block your view in a fight, costing you reaction time to something just out of sight, or giving your opponents something to grab onto.

Amazing how many people want their hair to look long and silky in a game where it is most guaranteed to be splattered and matted with the blood and chunky bits of darkspawn.........

I don't want all my characters to have that option, but since one of Rayin Cousland's primary motivations for dealing with the Blight was that it harshed his mellow - longish, messy hair would seem to be in character.

Well, since killing is ugly, you might as well look cool while doing it ! Besides, the many people who asked for a helmet toggle didn't seem to mind the blood splattering. And I'm with the helmet lovers ! Which means I want long and silky hair outside combat ^^.

Didn't they already say that you'll be able to have long hair? All I know is my Hawke is going to have long black locks.

I would like to see an end to the Excessive Unrealistic Braids, personally. When your hairstyle either means that you're wearing a fake braid or that one braided strand of your hair is about 8 feet long, it bugs me. Why do they feel they have to do this weird stuff, anyway? Subtle differences between styles is where you're more likely to get something that people can be happy with, instead of 1 long braid, 1 ponytail, 1 weird braided thing, 1 shaved head . . . etc.

Also, I really wish they'd had the cornrows ponytail for WOMEN. Hmph.

Long, bolted on hair that doesn't move is awesome.

I actually love short hair on women but then I guess I'm just a weirdo. I do agree though that a greater range of styles for both sexes would be a good thing.

I want long matted hair grimed and filthy where the blood of my enemies has tangled its mass where trudging days on end through the countryside has taken effect where the only water to hit it was when the rainy season was upon us I want a ragged beard to show that Im not some stuck up noble who has the money to afford such luxuries as having a shave you know how hard it is to find someone who can do a shave and a cut in this era!! most I can hope for is one of the female family members to cut my hair with an old knife and I'll be damned if I let the blacksmith do it, id probbally lose my head!
