Erm on a related note can we decide how much body hair our lads have, i'm rather hirsute and am hoping to make my hawke and spit somewhat similar (our blokes in origins looked a bit too male modelly even the dwarves).

I think pChar might have been hinting that he'd like to see his long hair come out underneath the helmet. I might be wrong, in which case you are right.

But to go with his way of thinking, sadly I doubt that would be possible. Not with your average full head covering helmet anyway. Maybe with one that only covers your forehead and top of the head (like some of the leather ones did but now I think about it I think those covered around the hair area as well. Actually now that I think of it, am trying to think of any that did just cover forehead and above in DAO?

@Bolthulfur considering some of the fan's obsession with Varric's chesthair there is part of me that would be surprised if we couldn't give Hawke some good thick chesthair although the Varric fans will probably protest that it shouldn't be as awesome as his.

From what little we've seen of the game so far I'd say the hairstyles are hugely improved on the style front. I disliked most of the Origins hair options, but I do love short hairstyles and there are some great ones. FemHawke's, and Cassandra's old and new hairstyles I particularly love. Though I will also say that Bethany's hair looks better than any of the longer styles we ever had in the first game. I can't wait to see what other options there are for longer hair.

Ok then. I think Trailer Hawke, MEG and Varric all have very cool hair so far. I'm hoping for some awesome long dreads, myself.

I was pretty happy with my manly ponytails and braids in DA:O. But sure, why not.
Although Mass Effect needs it much, much more.

I don't oppose longer hairs, but clipping issues would be a pain to deal with.

Lots of people, in requesting long-hair styles, underestimate how ridiculous clipping hair looks. Long hair would be spectacular but I'll settle for shoulder length (or ponytails) as long as long hair doesn't render well.
