Matted is a good way to describe my hair. I never wash it, if I do it puffs out and I have and afro. But with straight hair.

I disagree, long hair on guys is no more gross on guys than short hair is on girls.

The sheer stupidity of this post is appalling...

Anyway, back on topic, longer hairstyles could be neat indeed, they could just inspire themselves from ancient Nordic and Celtic warriors.

No offence to people with those hairstyles, but it's just that I find the scruffy, dirty hair and/or dreadlocked hair incredibly unappealing. Just personal preference of course. I would prefer a more sophisticated or clean and flowing style of long hair. In fact, my mind keeps flashing back to the hair of the human noble character in that DAO poster thing.

I share your pain, I have chriscornellzish hair and always having to choose between dirty dreadlocks and a sad ratty ponytail gets frustrating ! Although just long hair would be a progress considered their absence in Origins. Even the generic long hair for female wardens (the one Flemeth has) would have looked fine one male characters.

Indeed, long hair on warrior men is very manly and sexy.  I mean, who was sexier in The Thirteenth Warrior, Antonio Banderas with his close-cropped hair or Buliwyf?  We have a winner.

I found this picture somewhere on the board. I'm pretty sure it's meant to be comical but I'd actually like that kind of look for my male Hawke. That seems like the look I strive to achieve IRL lol. With varying success (and confidence)...

I really hope they have decent options for long hair for men in this game. DA:O's long hair were.. Less than satisfactory.  Oh and for that troll that was saying girls with short hair, and guys with long hair are ugly...

I felt like most of the hair options in Origins were somewhat lacking. The longish ones were the most plastic/wood-like and just generally fake looking. Which is a shame, because in these time periods hair was generally worn a bit longer, so I'd definitely like the opportunity to make a longer, less plasticine looking hairdo.

Agreed, although I don't see why it would look more like hard plastic on male characters than on female characters. So, to me, there's no excuse not to include it !
