The default for Fem!Shep can indeed be made in the character generator, though a few things tweak ever so slightly when you move from the default look into the generator itself.

Can no one be creative enough to make their own Hawke's?
That's what I was trying to say, although I apparently did a rather poor job of it. The latter point was just that parts of the default model seem to shift, like a slight hair color change, when you go into the character generator, for whatever reason I do not know. Sorry for not being clear on that.Dave of Canada wrote...

Yeah but Default FemShep wasn't a special model.

Didn't you notice that his armor was also present in that short clip? They don't do in game models like that. I think that that particular Hawke might have been the one used for the cinematic trailer. The armor looked very detailed, and like I said, they don't do in game models like that. They do the body model and the armor fits on top of it.Big Blue Car wrote...
Likely no. In the latest dev video we saw them creating the default Hawke model and it's a distinct model, not a modular one. It's also likely based on the ME2 design where the default model is designed more intensively than a typical facemaker one, for obvious reasons.
It's possible but I'd bet that no, it isn't made in the facemaker and so won't be customisable.

No, you do not edit the default male or female Hawke (at least, not currently. As Mike Laidlaw says "things are still subject to change"). You can use the defaults, you can select from a variety of preset faces or you can create one form scratch.

This leads me to believe that it will probably be impossible to make a hawke as good as the default... just like in mass effect.

Aw, that's a bummer. I really like the default Hawke faces, but if it ends up at all like Mass Effect, those'll be the only ones that look decent. Still nice to know, at least. Thanks for the confirmation.Chris Priestly wrote...

Faces I make are 'creative.' And by creative, I mean ugly.
