"A bit worse for the wear, but I'm still willing to go a few rounds. I hope that random blood spray from my neck isn't too bothersome."

"No, not at all. In fact... it only adds to your charms."

"I'm glad you appreciate it, but I prefer to be a bit cleaner. Perhaps tonight we can slip in a warm bath and you can evaluate my charms without all these distractions." ;)

I was thinking perhaps less lethal injuries than that (like a gash on the arm, bruising, red scorch marks, a bloody nose or mouth, or the like), but that's funny too.

My main issues in DAO was not just about length of fights but also what I killed. Why would I be covered in gore from head to foot if a just killed a bunch of rats? Even if I did kill ten in a row with criticals? That's the kind of thing I am most keen on avoiding.

I was always amused when I got covered in blood from fighting things that don't have blood. I swear I recall being covered in gore from killing slyvans, spirits, golems and/or rotting corpses on occasion. (I mean, fanged skeletons might indeed get icky fluids on you when you cut them up, but should it look the same as fresh human blood?)
