He is a pretty good NPC, but isn't he basically like a naughtier more magical version of Alistair?
Umm yes. Whats your point?

If it isn't Anders, is there any reason a dev couldn't just confirm it and say "no".

Anders in DA2?
Sure, he might be. That's not him though.

I had this thought as well.
one of the devs or whatever on this forum has stated that not all of them are companions.Roth wrote...
There are nine characters on the photo and they all look playable. They also look very very bland... Where's the Qunari? Where's the dog/dragonling/giant spider? Where's my bloody golem???
Yes, well Isabela looks nothing like she did in origins too. With that new art direction they are taking I wouldnt be surprised if we saw some companion cameos from origins and wouldnt recognize them by their face.rbbhaney wrote...
After studying the pic intently for a long amount of time, I can say with certainty that this man is not Anders. His cheekbones are too high, and when you zoom in on his face, you'll notice that he neither has pierced ears nor a ponytail. Sure, you could argue that it might be before he got them, but what are the chances of that?

I dont think its Anders either. Or it is just early in the game but why is he in kirkwall? Templars could have captured him really but they would not have brought him all the way to kirkwall unless they were tired of Anders escaping from the circle all the time and maybe there is some kind of mage prison there. I dont know, I guess we have to wait and see.

@ pChar: True, but looking at the old and new Isabella, I do notice small similarites between them. However, I see none of these characteristics present between Anders and the man in the video. You may belive what you wish, but I do not think that is Anders. Now watch someone from Bioware appear and prove me wrong.

They always say crap like that to throw people off.ReallyRue wrote...
I'm sure I saw someone mention this image before, and one of the devs said something like 'not everyone on this pic is who you think'. I think the person who started it was talking about permanent companions, but still. If it is Anders, maybe that means he's a temporary companion or has a cameo. That'd be cute, though I'm not sure why he'd be in the Free Marches.

Who cares about Anders, I wanna know how much Nathaniel we're going to get, and where he might have gotten that "Worn Golden Ring" he wears.

I've read a forum a while back about a possibility of old companions returning in DA2 where Gaider replied that if they like a character to return despite the outcome of Origins then they would simply do it, so I'm guessing it wouldn't matter what happens to Anders in Awakening; I would like it alot if he did return, his story shouldn't end there.
