No female elf companion?

Keep in mind I am basing this off of the screenshot of Hawke wth several npcs standing behind him, who I assume are companions. For all I know there could more companions that have yet to be shown/revealed.

Also, I dreamt a few nights ago that Fiona was a party member in DA 2. There's a female elven mage mage right there, if it was a premonition.

every character voiced by Grey Delise deserves IMMEDIATE LI status
Make it happen Bioware

Meh I saw her as a crankier, less funny version of Morrigan.

I absolutely, 1000000000% disagree. If she never shows up again, I'll be soooo happy.

Varric-Oghren - based on the fact they're both male dwarfs
Aveline-Leliana - based on the fact they're both affiliated with a major faction and Avaline could potentially be a LI
Isabela-Morrigan - based on the fact that they're both free-willed, 'feisty' LI's
Meg/Gunther-Zevran - based on the fact they're both male elves, and Meg may potentially be a LI
Bethany-Wynne - based on the fact that it would be 'icky' to romance either of them

If sharing the species and gender is enough to deem character an analogue, the BioWare people have really painted themselves into a corner. I mean, between DAO and the Awakening they've already covered all possible combinations of these traits save for female qunari (which doesn't exist yet)halO bendeR wrote...
Well without knowing much about the character's backgrounds/personalities at all, I'll admit I'm a little disappointed by the fact that so far every character revealed has had something of an Origin's analogue to them:

Well, there IS concept art of a female qunari, after all...

In another one of these screenshots from the Developer's Diary video, you can see the dialogue wheel with one of the options: "What do you think, Warden" or something similar.

Aye; but Mary Kirby (if i recall right) confirmed there is no female qunari model made for DA2, since they opted for improving appearance/animations of females of other species instead.dgcatanisiri wrote...

I just feel that there needs to be a female elf as something of a middle ground between Isabella and Aveline (we don't even know if she is an LI yet). If Isabella is the only female LI then I will be very disappointed.

Coolness. I only watched the Dev Diary once so I missed that.

This is dark heroic fantasy. Its edgy. Go with it.

Dark Fantasy doesn't mean half-shaved heads.

I said, without knowing much about the character's personalities. It could very well be that several of these aren't accurate analogies, heck, I'm not even certain Meg is an elf.
But on a superficial level they do share some similarities.
And it may be that we've seen a mix of all possible race/gender types but in the main two games --the ones that count-- we still haven't seen a female dwarf or a female elf. Besides the DLC/Awakening cast were far more shallow than the cast of Origins (and hopefully DA2).

It may be Cassandra--she's Nevarran and IIRC their crest is a golden dragon. It looks more like a gold dragon than a grey griffin to me. (I could be completely mistaken.)
I'm hoping that Qunari is in, though.
