I'm having this issue.

Background...

- I had problems installing the DLCs, the solution was to activate the dragons service (opening services.msc on windows vista, clicking on properties, run automatically, later click on initialize, and that's it)

My actual problem

- DLC's keeps going out and in , when loading games (I think not during play).

Solution that works for me

Log out, check if dragon service is running, which is not when I'm having problems... And initialize it. Then I reload the game, and the equipment is there.
Problem is that Levi appears again in campment, and my solution is a bit crappy.

I checked the DAUpdater service when this happened to my girlfriend and it was already running. Not sure what to do now

I have this problem. Luckily, I save often, so I have games to go back to... Still, this is a terrible annoyance.

I've just encountered the same problem on my second play-through.... lost my main character's staff and Alistair lost his weapon and shield. I'm playing on the PC version.

Same problem here. They'd better fix it or I'll get my money and make sure alot of other people do also. Side note it will be posted everywhere I can that they can't program a game for "****" (It will be obviously true) if they don't fix it and I have to get my money back.
