Could be a First Contact War spinoff, though I'm hoping it's still ME3. Either way - it's all but official at this point - the reveal will be Mass Effect.

Well, cloth do look like a civ cloth in ME.

Seriously, CGI trailer costs loads of cash, Im not a pro, but re-using textures from ME in a completely new game is lame, we don't live in 90s anymore and it's bEAware we talk about, they tend to be very careful with their products. So now we have clothing and a rifle.

And they ALL fit the mass effect universe - its ME

whats more the quote says hardcore BW fans will be jumping - no new game not talked about will have us jumping or any other sequel. the only thing that will is ME3 or some other ME game

Maybe it's a short CGI film that fills in the gaps for PS3 users? Still, if it's a game I'm not liking the whole washed out Modern Warfare-ish look. Time will tell I guess.

why is there an incursor rifle then in the short clip we saw?
unless they existed before thermal clips were mass produced?

Yeah "hardcore fans" are RPG fans, no multiplayer or FPS will make "hardcore fan" jump. Unless it's a jump of rage 

@aeetos21 just wanted to cut off right from the start with first post those people who say that BW just reused textures in another game.

Unless Reapers blow up that location at the start of the game, this would be too much of a spoiler right from the start, like: "here is how the game ends"

Wasn't Halo: Reach's ending spoiled from the start? I mean, the game's plot was almost a build-up of Noble Six dying.

Probably ME3 will be set 1-2 years after ME2, considering that there're comics and novels set quite after the Suicide Mission so it's possible that Reapers had alreay arrived when the game starst. I now noticed the other woman. These may be a pair or indoctrinated looters for me... off course, I have no proofs.

ME3 could start with a reaper attack on a colony at the outskirts of the galaxy, or maybe the something else attacks a human colony in an expansion. I know it's the biotic beetles from cerberus daily news.

can people stop going n about first contact war, its total speculation, and tbh is a stupid idea anyway.



if anything, it will most likely be an expansion to Mass Effect 2, after all, we have been promised story filling content to explain ME3. This makes more sense, as your trying to tell an EPIC CLIMATIC trilogy ending story in a limited time. you create more steps between number 2 and number 3.



so the reapers start chewing up outer colonies, hence all the destruction, remember reapers dont just arrive and everything dies, it takes CENTURYS for the reapers to finish wiping things out. A long protracted war is logical.



people are trying to make these amazing guesses at multiplayer ME, or ME3 or whatever they dream up in 5 mins. and ignore the logical option of DLC bridging the gap between ME2 and ME3 which is exactly what bioware said they would do, and we surely must have 12 more months befor ME3 gets a release date, so thats enough time to have 2 good DLCs of some serious reaper hurt on the galaxy befor finally in ME3 we get to save the world.
