Can we not believe everything that is a rumour? There's a reason its a rumour-because it comes from an unconfirmed source that we can't trust whether its legitimate or not. Its less than 48 hours-we'll live until then.

It is probably a new game that has no connection at to mass effect series but most want to believe it does. I mean there are still lot DLC's to be make for Mass Effect 2.

Right, and look at the difference between the M4A1 in COD4 and COD:MW2. Both look different and have different color schemes but yet are the same IP.

Besides don't you remember before ME2's release you constantly argued with people about how samara is a full romance just because an unrealiable source says so only to be proven wrong with the games release?

I can say the exact same thing between COD4, COW:MW2 and COD:BO when it comes for the AK:74. Because by your logic, just because MW2 and BO's AK47 had a different color and a similar model with 'missing pieces', its not an AK47 there for its not COD related.

The AK47 had TAPCO and Galil furniture on it in MW2.

Though I wouldn't think this is a remake of Shattered Steel, wasn't that primarily a mech-based game?

OK so between the ME style rifle, the ME style cross-hairs and the ME style clothing, I think we can safely assume it is an ME related game (ME3 or some spin-off). As for the rather reticulum discussion about the color scheme, just look at the blur CGI trailer for ME2. The color scheme is almost the same as in these new screen shots.



I had actually hoped the new game will not be ME related. I mean, it is clear we'll get ME3, right? I'd have loved to see BW come up with yet another franchise, shooter, RPG or whatever they want to make (as long as it has a decent story). Ah well, we'll see soon enough.

Hopefully a large scale DLC that spans cerberus alliance and Ashley/Kaiden. Just hoping even though I never really care for them. Jack and Liara are too cool.

Bioware did make MDK2.  I doubt that's what this game is, but it's always a possibility.

I'm still leaning towards something Mass Effect related, if not ME3.

Agreed, but there really is nothing definitive.  The hexagon design theme and the M-29 Incisor (or so it seems) are definitely strong indicators, but nothing concrete.

I think this new game will be a first person shooter set way after Mass Effect 2 during the reaper war, it could even be a prelude to Mass Effect 3.



I wouldn't be surprised if ME3 started during the during the reaper invasion and that this new game will depict how it all began so that in ME3 you can play as Shepard while the war has already begun.



Personally if this game will be based on the first contact war I will be disappointed.

Anything new that is BW or ME will never make me dissapoint.

So it's basically Mass Effect 2.5? That defeats the entire purpose of the DLC.
