Everyone:

*breathless voice* One of my characters *finally* made love to Leliana! Woot!

I imagine it was easy for some other players, but until now, not for me. I have the PS3 version of DAO, and I understand the whole romance thing with Leliana is bugged across the platforms, so that made it that much more difficult to trigger the scene. I did so by holding back until after I had completed Leliana's personal quest against Marjolaine, and then I had my character engage in various conversations and give Leliana gifts.

Whew. Boy, you really have to get Leliana super high on the approval bar before she will initiate lovemaking, at least in my characters' experience. And, I don't know if this is true or not, but *never* select the (Kiss Leliana) option when it comes up. That seems to be the bugged part for me, because everytime my other characters did that, the game automatically put her in a romance with my character, but *without* the lovemaking scene or the resultant trophy.

*hoists trophy* YAAAARRRGGGHHHH! VICTORY!

Leliana asking you to her tent does have problems - I think the issue is if you talk to her outside of camp with approval over 90 it doesn't fire.

But if you've got approval over 90 you can initiate. You'll miss some nice dialogue, and she'll imply you turned her down earlier, but it works.

Wulfram is correct.  It's noted in the Wikia.  My buddy had this problem.  He gave her too many gifts and her personal quest never activated.

These are actually separate bugs.  leliana has so many bugs it's not funny  that she has so many devoted fans despite her bugs says a lot!

Gah, I'm hoping DA2 has a toolset :/

Umm I have the PS3 version and I'm able to nail Leliana everytime. Even by kissing her before the Majolaine quest.

I don't know if it will work for you but the first time I installed my game alot of the content was just missing on the PS3. Things like dialouge options were completely gone (morrigan had not dialouge options) and characters like Leliana had their "code" name such Lothering_Leliana001. And the main quest was impossible to complete.

Don't know what it is about the PS3 but it seems to be rather buggy. But somehow I fixed all these problems by completely uninstalling Dragon age (Don't delete accounts) and then reinstalling. When it was reinstalled all the bugs were fixed somehow.

So yeah you might wanna try that before doing the other romances in case they might be bugged as well. PS3 is kinda **** when it comes to installing games on its hard drive.

Honestly, I've never had a problem with DAO on the PS3, except for the occasional lag/rare freeze and the aforementioned Leliana romance bugs. I only had to reinstall DAO when my original Phat PS3 died, and I got a new Slim model.

Hmm. So, it seems one has to give Leliana just enough gifts and/or earn just enough approval to activate her personal quest (along with selecting the right dialogue options) then, afterward, spam her with gifts and the correct dialogue choices to then, FINALLY, activate the romance scene. Whew. My other female characters have found Alistair to be much easier to "connect" with.

Nono, with Zevran, getting him to admit his feelings is the epic encounter.  Getting him to propose...  not one many see without the help of a spoiler guide (I was one of the few, and i blame Alistair).

Edit; gah, someone brings up Zevran in a thread, and I have to pipe in.  Hmmm, perhaps i should FRAPs Leliana's declaration of love, IF hardened.  

Just to show the console users what they're missing due to bugs they're not even aware of  Let's see if I can find a save for that...

Except the hardened dialog, which is different at the beginning.  She actually says:

Leliana: I must have done something right.  It lead me to you.  To love.

That was pretty funny. I don't know why I haven't completed the Leliana romance yet. I'm totally going to on my current playthrough.

edit: Huh, I looked at your other videos and I totally didn't get that talk with Zevran (the proposal breakup) when I did the romance. Pretty sure I have your dialogue fix installed, too.
