 Hi all, 
 I am playing BG1 for the first time. I looked at some of the cheats given and tried putting them across.

I am using this thread as reference http://forums.biowar...2&forum=19&sp=0

The first thing I did was to go to the directory where I have installed BG1.

D:\\Black Isle\\Baldur's Gate

Open up the Baldur.ini

and put in [Game Options] 
Cheats=1

I also put in [Program Options]
Debug Mode=1

Both of these were done after the character creation process. 

Then opened up the Console within the game and wrote 

CLUAConsole:CreateItem("BOOK04")

Now from what I gather, this should have increased my STR by 1 point, it didn't what gives ?

Please put it up where-ever the posts right place is.

No it should not. Rather it should have created a new item in your inventory (that's the purpose of the CreateItem cheat).

Take a look.

If you are using vanilla BG1, then you need to remove the Debug Mode=1 line. That is for BG2 and BG1 installs using TuTu or BGT.


...also it creates a book, it doesn't directly modify your stat the way you are doing it. If you want to directly modify your stats, then go here: http://www.mud-maste...eper/index.html

If you are going to cheat, why do it in half measures?
