It's safe to say most developers are avid gamers themselves.
But do they get bored? Every year there are games coming out in the thousands. As someone who wants to become a game developer, sometimes I don't kind of get the same experience as some other guy would. I analyse, I reflect, I ask 'Why did they go for this direction? What's the basis for that?' etc etc. Sometimes I kind of 'connected the dots', saw recurring patterns. When I see a game design decisions are usually a function of many factors, it kind of somewhat affect the experience of playing the game itself in a negative way. The purity, the authenticity of the game vision just took a dip in my perception.
Do game developers get bored of playing games sometimes?
