In the interest of full disclosure, I use Ebay. I'm sell on Ebay, and Imake no bones about it. I also know that's not a popular view point around here, BUT here is some middle ground!  This thread is for people that want to buy/sell lithographs for a realistic going market rate witha 15% discount for board members. The only way to accurately calculate the market rate is to take the average Ebay sell of the particular lithograph. If the information isn't available, post which lithograph you have, and set your own (realistic) asking price or ask for PMs to discuss it.

If you want to help keep things going, PM me the amount you sold a lithograph for, or just post it, and I will add it
into the equation. Actually, post it so this can be as transparent as possible. I want ALL of the information used in the calculations to be available to anybody if they want to check my math, prices, etc. You don't have to tell me who bought it, just the amount. It will be pretty easy to tell if people are trying to manipulate the market, so don't try. As markets change over time, I will try to reflect that by using five items for the average with the oldest price being phased out, and the newest price being introduced.

We will get a list of best practices, solid sellers/traders, etc., as wego on. Feel free to trade here if you like, but this is primarily for people to list their lithos to sell or request to buy a litho. So if you have a litho that you want to sell on the list, take 15% off of the average and postt it. If you are looking for a litho, say which one you are after and expect to pay the average -15% if somebody is willing to sell. The buyer and seller can work out the payment details, shipping, etc., in PMs. Please mention when you've had a good buy/sell and who it was with. If you have a link to a recent auction that I missed, please feel free to let me know as the search function on Ebay can  be fickle, but we need a verifiable link. If you want to Ebay, then Ebay, if you want to use the boards, use the boards.

For the next week or so, feel free to post suggestions (barring flat out complaining or negative comments) so we can make this a group effort.

Rules of this thread:

1. If you don't like it, please voice your opinion elsewhere, PM somebody, but keep your negativity out of the thread.

2. If you have suggestions, constructive criticisms, etc., please PM me sowe can keep the board clean, but credit will definitely be given for implemented ideas.

3. When you sell a litho, you give a board member the going market rate with a 15% discount. So if the market average is 200 (rounded), you would agree to sell for 170 plus shipping.

4. Flaming, insulting, or just generally disruptive posts will be reported and asked for removal.

5. If you are running an Ebay auction, please don't link to your own active Ebay auction in discussions. It just opens the door for too much controversy.

6. If you are selling it with a frame, which I imagine most are using those 18 dollar 18x24 Target frames, or equivalent, I think it's okay to charge for the base cost of the frame, but that's up to what the seller/buyer work out.

7. Any items listed that are clearly intended for market manipulation will be removed from the equation.

Board member wish list:

1: Teh Blasta: Afterlife, Garrus, Jack, Tali (Please make it fair as there is no market data yet) and Omega.
2: tdl84: Citadel, Minuteman, and Omega, Garrus

Alright, I like this thread. This is a good way to keep some of the eBay price insanity in check. While I haven't sold any lithos I will say I do like the idea of giving the members of this forum a break from eBay.

I'll put it right here that I am currently looking to buy for a reasonable price, Afterlife, Garrus, Jack, Tali (Please make it fair) and Omega. Send me a PM if you are willing to sell them.

To get a more accurate average, you may want to factor in shipping charges when calculating your averages, since these can range from free to about $20 (and some cases even higher).

I thought about that, but you have to take address into consideration sometimes as some sellers just plug the weight in and the buyer only sees the shipping according to the location attached to their account so it's kind of tough to gauge all of those. It seems that most are free shipping, but I see your point. My hope was for the buyer/seller to kind of work out that minor detail between each other.

I'm kind of thinking it should be average -15% + shipping cost which should be about 20 bucks for shipping, handling, insurance, tracking, and signature confirmation.

I don't mind buying from people selling them on ebay or for their market value. In fact I bought a 3 pack from you(I am the annoying South African). It is a free market world we live in. And however much I wanted to buy them at the original price(which proved to be impossible), at least I can still get them even I have to pay a few times its original value. But what counts for me, is that I get them. I had to illegally tunnel on wireless connection and through a friends adsl just to have been able to be in the race for the Miranda/Legion lithos.

I do like this idea, I guess I will say that I am looking for Citadel, Minuteman, and Omega, wouldn't mind Garrus as well. This is a perfect thread to go along with Hockeys thread, for people who started collecting late, and the 15% discount to board members is a great idea.

Very cool, do you have a link to the auction? It's not that I don't believe, but every new piece of info needs to be verified when it first comes in so that nobody thinks the market is being manipulated.

http://cgi.ebay.com/...em=260689764144

I hate to contribute this, but for the sake of the thread: Normandy for 300.

(and for others to realize that these prizes are mainly payed by desperate souls that have too much money)

plus (scanning my eBay watching list):
http://cgi.ebay.com/...em=270659754496 Normandy for 230
http://cgi.ebay.com/...em=150518261278 Garrus for 187.50

I could continue this but for the time being...

PS: one could/should also consider those that didn't sell... to have a real average.

I disagree for two reasons.

One, if anybody cancels an auction early for one reason or another, which happens if they go from a fixed to a standard auction or if they just decide not to sell, the prematurely ended auction shows up in the "completed listings", even if it only lasts for five seconds.

Secondly, somebody could list a litho for 600 dollars to artificially inflate these numbers, or because they just have no idea what there item is actually worth.

Thank you for the auction info! :wizard:

Are you sticking to just ME lithos in this thread then Sabian? I see you have no dragon age lithos listed. Are they simply not worth enough to list?

I actually meant '0' for auctions that didn't sell.

In that case, see number one, and also, somebody trying to see prices lowered on here, could go list several lithos for a ridiculously high price that nobody would pay which would in turn lower the price of the litho they were trying to get from the board. I'm not saying it would happen, but nothing surprises me.

Nothing that I saw in the completed listings. If somebody had been following a Citadel auction, they could link it here. The completed listing only goes back 30 days, but if you had been following a particular auction, the info stays available for about 90 days I think. I don't know why they don't let you track back that far in a search.
