ha, I'll tell you though, every once in a while, people bite on those crazy buy out prices! If it's the only one availabe, and they don't want to lose it, sometimes they'll pay the high end. I've never seen it on Dragon Age though.

Me too, I guess he/she did that because I emailed him/her about re-listing the litho, after I saw that the previous auction ended with 0 bid. So he/she thought that I was ready to shell out big bucks <_<

Very cool, do you have a link to the auction? It's not that I don't believe, but every new piece of info needs to be verified when it first comes in so that nobody thinks the market is being manipulated.

Just FYI, I think it would be helpful to post how long the higher priced ones take to sell. Otherwise, it'll look like you're trying to manipulate the market, and you certainly have more incentive to than anyone else does.

Could you explain how the length of an auction can be contrsued as market manipulation? If I post something on Ebay for an exorbitant amount and it doesn't sell, that's detramental to the one selling it, or at worst, it just shows the high end tolerance for the market.
I'm also trying to understand your angle on that as well. Something isn't calculated into these numbers until it sells, and a sale is a sale, so I fail to see how long something takes to sell is manipulating the market. Now, if all my lithos were selling for 999 dollars, and the same person with zero feedback were winning them all, then I'd start to wonder.

Just helps the average person looking to sell how long it's going to sit on a high price. If the point is that you're trying to establish market value, showing the true cap by posting the autions that didn't sell helps show the true ceiling. I'm not saying that you're manipulating the market by having long acutions, but your claim to be supporting market values isn't exactly supported when you don't include info on the true ceiling too. Just so long as we no longer see something like The Wards for $800 bucks, ya know?

I think the setup now IS geared towards the average person. I think that you can look at the last five auctions of a particular lithograph and ascertain what people are willing to pay, don't you? We can go up to 10 as opposed to five, but I'm not going to track how long lithos have sitting there, etc. If I see five Omega's that sold in auctions, I think it's safe for any rational person to say what the market cap is for that particular litho. Markets do change over time, hence the rotation of oldest/latest auction. If people want to start digging deeper than that by looking at inflated auctions, duration, et al., then they are more than welcome to do the leg work. I'm looking at general info, not day trading charts.

That's a fair point rotating, I guess I forgot about that. Although if we're doing that, I guess the most valuable information would be the last time one was listed/sold. Not that that would be readily avaliable for some of the rarer ones, but it helps people to keep an eye for the ones that come up less often.

see, I tried something very similar to that, but then it kept reverting to some screwy line after I saved it. I'll try yours and hopefully it will save. Thanks!
edit: lookin' good! I think that I may have gotten a little too excited with the color coded setup that I had, but yours seems fine, thanks again.
edit 2: see, now the colored sections have reverted back to white text. I love Bioware, but I'm not a fan of the site structure.
