I remember how pissed off gamers were when ID Software spoiled Quake 4 by revealing a major plot twist that happens half-way in the game almost as soon as they started advertising it.

I imagine this Reaper attacking the Earth spoiler is about on the same level of the Collector's destroying the Normandy. Not a HUGE spoiler, but still a bit of a spoiler nonetheless.
