It wouldn't have been as irked as much if they gave good reason for humans having superior genetic diversity. Varied appearances and personalities are in no way conclusive proof for something like that. Mordin sounded like an idiot making assumpsions when he went on about that.
There are some inconsistencies, too. Salarians have their own sub-species and we're still more genetically diverse than them? Krogans show amazing adaptibility and endurance beyond all other races and originally reproduced at an insanely high rate and nothing shows for that?
