This is just a general description of the game, like "Assemble a crew of the galaxy's baddest blah blah" for ME2.

There's no way that wouldn't be spoiled for you unless you completely avoided the internet and everything else until it came out.

Agreed... so no use in banging your head against the wall for something that was bound to happen... though it would have been nice popping in the game and then BAM! Cinematic of Earth being attacked... that would have been an incredible experience... ahhh well, NO BANGING HEAD AGAINST WALL!

Finally we'll get to see the Citadel Council's comeuppance.

Turian Councilman:Shepard! We're under attack from the reapers and need your help!

Shepard:Ahhhh yes, Reapers...we have dismissed that claim.

Nevermind - I don't know where Busomjack's getting his info - looks like he's just jumping to conclusions. The product description isn't particularly spoilery.

::Spoiler::

So it seems that many people were right about it following the DAO formula.. rally allies for final battle. Also now we know why the devs have not included any missions on the Earth in previous games ...

::Spoiler::

SPOILER

The DA: O formula seemed pretty obvious.  You've spent the last 2 games influencing different major factions, possibly even destroying whole groups.  If nobody saw it coming that these factional loyalties would be a major point in ME3, then BioWare did a bad job building it up.

Council, Alliance, Cerberus, Krogan, Geth, Rachni, Quarians, Omega/Terminus...
Shepard should have a nice assortment of allies to recruit.

SPOILER

Come on, Like the Reapers wouldnt go for Earth.

Why Earth exactly? I mean, surely there are some more significant planets out there like the Citadel or Omega?

because they want a lot of humans and earth has millions

Despite that I was kinda disappointed with ME2, this premise sounds quite good, despite that humans are gonna be saviours of the universe once agian. It sounds better than the whole human colonies missing, Collectors, and Cerberus stuff ME2 came with.

Assuming this is all correct. We'll find out soon enough Image IPB

This is no more of a spoiler than knowing about the Collectors abducting human colonies.

I was on media blackout on ME2 other than the original announcement teaser. So I had no idea any of that was going to happen until I played the game. :)

Lets face it! Bioware was probably planning on revealing this so called "spoiler" in tomorrow's big reveal anyways so it's not like any of us were going to be able to avoid it anyways.

Seriously, were any of you planning on avoiding tomorrow's announcement in fear of spoilers?

So the main point will be - "Save Earth!" Reapers!

Interesting. If true, ME3 will going the direction many including myself have speculated on(ie. unite the galaxy to take on the Reapers, kind of thing).

Edit: spelling/grammar

Best way to play the game... really is...I did this for the most part for ME2 and will also do it for ME3... after this first trailer, or maybe I won't watch it, don't know.....

But I don't know why BioWare likes showing spoilerific material in their trailers... all their trailers for ME3 should be:  a Black screen with ME3 logo appearing, then fading out, followed by the words "Earth needs you"... and then release date and then END... nothing else.

Only the Turian Councilor can save us all. He's going to dismiss them. By doing that the enitre Reaper fleet will start trying to divide something by zero and then implode.

Even the original announcement teaser for Mass Effect 2 had a spoiler in it by revealing that Commander Shepard was killed.

It's not a huge deal.

Busomjack, to clarify, the reason I yelled at you is because your 1st post in this thread would've been a huge spoiler IF it was true.  And the fact that you believed it was true and decided to post it in a non-spoiler forum doesn't exactly show good forum ettiquete now does it?  Fortunately, this time, you just got muddled up, and misinterpreted the article...

BioWare better bring it this time... I want this game to be universally praised by all fans, not just the shooter fans or spreadsheet warriors.

Wait, I just realized - this could be a HORRIBLE red herring! Release this picture/description of a generic box with an ME3 logo on it, and then tomorrow reveal AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT GAME. The effects on this forum would be...impressive.

Good point, I would go for the Citadel first to cripple the Galaxy. Then dominate Earth.

Well Earth has a massive amount of Humans, sooo...
And remember, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of Reapers. You only need a few to take down a planet. I think. Right?
Plus the mass relay in the Citadel was taken down in ME1 so the council races will have time to defend the Citadel this time.
