Lets face it! Bioware was probably planning on revealing this so called "spoiler" in tomorrow's big reveal anyways so it's not like any of us were going to be able to avoid it anyways.
Seriously, were any of you planning on avoiding tomorrow's announcement in fear of spoilers?
Busomjack, to clarify, the reason I yelled at you is because your 1st post in this thread would've been a huge spoiler IF it was true. And the fact that you believed it was true and decided to post it in a non-spoiler forum doesn't exactly show good forum ettiquete now does it? Fortunately, this time, you just got muddled up, and misinterpreted the article...
It's not a spoiler if EA reveals it in their friggin marketing! Also, how is it not true? It's mentioned in the game description.

Come on, Like the Reapers wouldnt go for Earth.
Why Earth exactly? I mean, surely there are some more significant planets out there like the Citadel or Omega?
Good point, I would go for the Citadel first to cripple the Galaxy. Then dominate Earth.
Well Earth has a massive amount of Humans, sooo...
And remember, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of Reapers. You only need a few to take down a planet. I think. Right?
Plus the mass relay in the Citadel was taken down in ME1 so the council races will have time to defend the Citadel this time.
After seeing Sovereign whoop so much ass easily, They could do it with 10 lol.

And humans, again? I'm sick of the "Humans are Special" trope, here. The reasons they gave for it were extremely stupid to begin with.
Still, I'm excited.

I hope the whole "rally the races" thing isn't as obvious and predictable as it sounds. But I trust BioWare to pull off something interesting.

Earth, love it or leave it. I heard Palaven is nice this time of year though you might have trouble finding levo-protein based foods.

So it seems that many people were right about it following the DAO formula.. rally allies for final battle. Also now we know why the devs have not included any missions on the Earth in previous games ...
::Spoiler::
SPOILER
The DA: O formula seemed pretty obvious. You've spent the last 2 games influencing different major factions, possibly even destroying whole groups. If nobody saw it coming that these factional loyalties would be a major point in ME3, then BioWare did a bad job building it up.
Council, Alliance, Cerberus, Krogan, Geth, Rachni, Quarians, Omega/Terminus...
Shepard should have a nice assortment of allies to recruit.
SPOILER
I was REALLY hoping they wouldn't go this route, but knowing Bioware, I guess I should't have expected anything different. The problem with this whole Dragon Age "go around and gather allies" game structure is that its PREDICTABLE. And REPETITIVE. Just like ME2 was. Yeah, there were some twists here and there like the Collectors being Protheans but at the end of the day you just know that the only missions you do are recruiting people and gaining loyalty. It makes things very predictable. After beating a mission, instead of saying, "I've just finished this mission, I wonder what's next?" you go "I've just finished this mission, now I have to go recruit Mordin." The sense of anticipation, mystery, and curiosity is lost.
And because Bioware loves the structure of giving you a bunch of missions and letting you do them in whatever order you choose, it makes things very episodic. Events from one mission aren't going to affect the next mission and so on, since each mission is so tightly packaged and compartmentalized.
Oh well. I'll still get ME3 because I'm such a big fan of the franchise, but I'd really wish Bioware would change the formula a little bit. Its getting stale.

I think most people would agree that *that* would've been a huge spoiler, regardless of EA revealing it or not - which they haven't, by the way - it's not in the game description - go back and read it again carefully.

Ok, so they say "machines" instead of reapers. You think they're talking about Geth or Loki mechs?

I KNOW!!! *squeals*
I noticed that, and I also noticed it was tagged as Action and RPG. ME2 underneath was tagged as Action, RPG and Shooter.
Ha!
(this all, of course, is utterly meaningless. But there's nothing like a bunch of speculation to get the forum fires a'burning of a Friday)
